This market has been tough, but the worst thing you can do is make a candidate feel like they're bothering you if they're checking in. For candidates: Just because recruiters don't reach out to you doesn't mean they forgot about you! With that being said, it's totally okay to periodically check in, in case we JUST got a new role in that's relevant for you. Candidates, don't be afraid to check in. I've been looking for a new job for the past 3 months and want to share something about it. In 3 months I've applied for about 150 positions. Of those applications: * Most didn't even bother looking at my application. * Some reached out to reject my application * 4 reached out for an interview. (2.66%) Of those 4: * 1 stopped after 3 rounds of talks * 1 ghosted me after 1 round ( chasing up multiple times and no response ) * 2 waiting on the hiring manager Searching for a job is often a full-time job on its own and stressful enough. Filling in tons of forms on a lot of different platforms. Recruiters/TAs are not making it easier a lot of the time. #jobsearching #devops #frustrations #recruiters

NOT sugarcoating this: 1. **Cash in Hand, Talent in Demand** – Companies, stop hoarding your cash like it’s the apocalypse. Invest in top-notch talent now or risk being left in the dust. 2. **Vanity Projects vs. Valuable People** – Enough with the vanity projects.
