I’ve officially started my first day as a 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 Estonian Business School. I had been searching for the right program for years, and although I found a few promising ones, they were located in the US or Asia, which made regular physical attendance difficult. Since I prefer being present in person, Estonian Business School was a perfect fit. What excites me the most is that they offer an experimental track, which aligns with my interests. This research journey isn't about simply obtaining a degree—I'm genuinely passionate about my topic and eager to dive deeper into it. The effort I've invested in finding the right program has paid off, and I feel confident that I'm on the right path. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆? Discovering that I wasn’t the only one feeling nervous was reassuring. A new environment, a different approach, and the academic rigor can be intimidating, but the support from my peers made it easier. We’ve already had a doctoral seminar and covered research design, both of which were engaging as we introduced ourselves and our projects. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆? ✅ I filled five pages of notes, which I’ll need to review in detail. ✅ Regardless of expertise, there is always more to learn—I have a long journey ahead. ✅ Searching for relevant articles is an art in itself. ✅ Learning to navigate databases and academic libraries is like mastering another science. ✅ Building a network of experts and peers in your field is crucial. ✅ I know I’m in the right place. Yes, the road ahead will be challenging, but it’s through these challenges that we transform into better versions of ourselves. Grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution. Grateful to meet my new colleagues: Abella Gamze A. Anton Jeremejev Cristofer Rybner Jelena Žovnikova Nilay Rammul Martin Maduka Ejeagwu Julija Bulgakova Ramiz A. and Faisal Mohammed, Ravi Kumar. #firstyearphd #ebsdoctoralstudies #researchproject #exportmentor #eyba
