🫏 THE TALE OF THE DONKEY really struck a chord with me. One day, a farmer’s donkey fell into a well. The poor donkey cried loudly for hours, until he was discovered by the farmer, who tried everything he could to get him out. The donkey was panicking and thought he would never be rescued. Eventually, the farmer decided that as donkey was never going to get out and the well was already dry and needed to be covered anyway, he was going to stop trying to pull the donkey out of the well. He was going to give up. The farmer invited his neighbors to come and help him to fill the well in. They each grabbed a shovel and began to throw dirt into the well. The donkey realized what was happening and cried with all his might, urging the farmer and his neighbours to stop! Then, to everyone's surprise, the donkey went silent… The farmer looked down into the well and was amazed at what he saw... with each shovelful of dirt, the donkey was doing something incredibly smart. He was shaking off the dirt and treading it into the ground, raising himself higher and higher. Eventually the donkey reached the mouth of the well, climbed over the edge and trotted out. The moral of the story? Life is going to throw dirt at you and the trick to getting out of the hole is to shake it off and use it to step up. Ultimately, you have to find a way and there always is one. We can get out of the deepest holes if we don't give up and even when it feels like all is lost, you can find a way if you really want to. Even when others give up on you, never give up on yourself. This tale resonates with my journey so far of running a business. I’ve been stuck in a well many times. Plenty of farmers have shovelled dirt on me and given up on me. But I’ve never given up on myself and neither should you. You will rise to the top. #Fable #Resilience #DonkeyTale #MentalStrength

Corey and I got the opportunity to take some time off and get our families together for a “glamping” trip last month 🏕️. Despite a lot going on at Evolved Finance, we didn’t talk about business that much. Ever gone to the movies? Or a water park? A tour? Bought a chips packet?? Almost everyday we spend money for a lot of things that bring us joy or satisfaction. But WHAT IF? What if JUST 1-2% of such spending can save a homeless animal?? A lonely starving stray?? Many of us may have observed fasts for various reasons. It wasn't so easy right? Now imagine STARVING for DAYS & WEEKS. What must it be like?? A lot of our expenses constitute our Wants and Luxuries. But these poor animals don't even have the basic Needs fulfilled. Today we have a good home to live in, nice clothes to wear, many family & friends to love, good food to eat, money to spend. We are indeed VERY VERY lucky. I, personally, feel IMMENSELY grateful and blessed to have all these in my life. As a token of gratitude, I am taking a step forward to help the beings less privileged than me.
