Brand and brand positioning can make or break your startup for a number of reasons. For any operators considering changes to their brand I suggest reaching out to Adam Lehman and the What Else crew; you’ll be in good hands 🙌
We are excited to launch something we have been thinking about for a while now — a dedicated Early Stage Offering for startups and young companies. The majority of our team here at What Else has either worked within, or has serviced startups as part of their career. From B2B branding agencies to leading startup brand teams, we have seen, and felt, the problems that arise for founders and business owners first hand. This is why we think we can build a more focused and efficient process for branding early stage companies to cut through the noise and get to a solidified brand, and foundation, to go scale you business upon. I won't belabor the point here (or excitedly ramble on and on.. but I could!). Instead, we made a dedicated page on our site for it. So if you are raising your first round, or scaling your business around the globe, let's chat. Your brand awaits. And thank you to our current and past clients for proving we can build better futures in creative, and nimble ways: Temelio focal Steadywell MainStreet Sardine + a few more on the way <3 https://lnkd.in/eBjjtWR5 - Adam + the What Else Team ‽

"As a founder, you’re never just doing one thing. You’re always building your brand, always selling, and always growing. Right now, our product team is swamped while our top of funnel is larger than we can handle – and that’s exactly the challenge you want." Check out Ben Sharf's take on managing growth, hiring the right talent, and why founders need to stay agile for what’s coming next: https://lnkd.in/d8bK5feu

Looking to enable partnerships for growth? We're here to help! We've worked along some pretty amazing teams over the past few years, and helped them to drive real results from their partnerships ecosystems. When working alongside Stefanie Colley, former Channel Partnerships & Strategy Lead for Uber First, we were able to help her and the team how to optimise their partnership strategy to drive impact! "Through pre-work and an interactive workshop with Hockey Stick Advisory, they enabled the team to look at our wider partnership strategy with a different lens to ensure we were looking at the "bigger picture" for longer-term success. The workshop empowered the wider team to better understand the purpose and benefit of developing our partnership ecosystem to attract, grow and accelerate. " #partnerships #ecosystems #growth

"We need to find someone in our team to lead international expansion." Andrea recently spoke with the founding and management team of a scaleup thinking about international expansion. Guess what? No one wanted to take on the project. 🤔 Here’s the truth: International expansion isn’t just about scaling—it’s a defining moment for your company. It sets the stage for sustainable growth and positions you to compete globally. For founders, stepping into this role isn’t just a responsibility—it’s a chance to grow alongside your business, push your leadership to new heights, and create an international brand. 🌍 So, if you’re hesitating to take the leap, remember: no one will fight for your vision like you will. What’s holding you back? 🚀 Skip through the slider to find out more.

Here’s what we can do if we haven’t found our “big idea” yet: 👇 Join a company or organization that has amazing momentum. Get on that ship for a while and learn everything possible. See what success looks like and what product market fit looks like. From there, when creativity starts to spark, we’ll know what it takes to be a part of a winning culture. That will be a huge help when dreaming about launching a business and starting to take action.

I’m back in NYC and across the east coast and I have a lot on my mind - especially the idea of ‘control’. As a founder, you have to constantly surrender to the idea you have very little control over your destiny but it’s why you have to shape it to work for you. When we started Ground, there were many decisions that went into the ‘idea’ that today we’re still benefiting from. We stress-tested our sales process in a very simple way but the foundation has relatively stayed in-tact. Product? Iterations on a thesis that at its core has remained the same. Value? I mean, I don’t know any consumer company in the world that doesn’t want to get more customers without needing their team to work harder or spend more to acquire customers. Ultimately, there are certain truths that help you build a business and it’s up to you to listen, learn, and adapt. Listening, learning, and adapting isn’t easy at work especially if you’re heads down in the weeds, and it’s harder in life. The most consistent thing in life is change, but to also do good work means doing things that produce results over and over again…See where it gets confusing? No wonder I have vertigo. The next couple of weeks are packed with change, flights, and code switching across work streams. There won’t be much consistency, and that lack of ‘control’ isn’t great. For me, I need control over parts of my schedule - sleep, eat, exercise - these are essential and I’m naturally terrible at all of them regardless of where I am. As for work? Being front-facing means I need to be creatively inspired and in my zone. I don’t want to share my life if I’m confused about what’s going on in my surroundings! How do you stay consistent with the things that matter during periods of constant-change? #founderstories #nyc #foundermode #change #leadership #sundaythoughts
