While you don’t need to pursue the same field as your first degree, your proposed course of study should align with your professional experience. Chevening rarely sponsors ‘experiments’—your academic and career goals must be purposeful and well-thought-out. Ensure your choice of study has relevance not only to you but also to the field at large. Consider any gaps in the field that you wish to address and how your education will help fill them. 3) Focus on impact.
