Children who are born under proper medical guidance, in high-figh hospitals, and with specialists are more likely to be completely healthy. Thus, 2/1000 are detected to be victims of Cerebral Palsy - something 100% treatable. Whoever fails to admit the socio-economic divide that is just increasing as every day passes is not aware of the adversaries the humans under the privileged line are facing. These are children, lakhs of them - denied proper healthcare and succumbing to illnesses they were unfortunate to be born with. Where is the impact of change? We may not be able to create a perfect world, but with each cause we champion, every donor who joins us, and our collective efforts, we are inching closer to a better world. Let's come together, give selflessly for the betterment of others, and witness the power of real change. On World Cerebral Palsy Day, here's a reality check on numbers. #LetItCount #CerebralPalsy #HealthcareForAll #SocialChange #HealthcareForChildren #HealthForAll #EmpowerChildren #CommunityImpact #EquityInHealthcare #DonateNow #Charity

**Urgent Call for Help: Buddy's Road to Recovery Needs You** We have an important update on Buddy’s condition. Our vet visited the shelter and determined that Buddy’s wound was too severe to leave open, so suturing was necessary. Though it was a challenging process, we had to gently restrain Buddy to ensure he remained safe during the procedure. Buddy’s resilience continues to inspire us, but his journey to recovery is far from over. The suturing was a critical step, but he still requires ongoing care and support to heal fully. This is where we need your help more than ever. Your generosity has been a lifeline for Buddy, and we are profoundly grateful. However, the costs of his medical treatment and continued care are significant. Please consider donating, sharing Buddy’s story, and encouraging others to contribute. Every bit of support brings Buddy closer to a pain-free, happy life. Thank you for standing by Buddy’s side and for your unwavering compassion. Karen Manzo Karen England Sonya Kunkle H K. Like you, I protect my time and carefully choose where I get involved. This cause hit my heart hard, and I knew I could help make a difference—so I joined the Board of National Center for Pediatric Palliative Care Homes (NCPPCH). Every parent of a medically fragile child dreams of a cure. But their second biggest wish is often much simpler—a chance to rest. Caring for a child with complex medical needs is exhausting, and many parents go for weeks or months without a break. Without the right community services, families feel trapped, overwhelmed, and isolated. That’s where Children’s Respite Homes come in—at least in the few lucky communities that have them. These homes give families a break from the endless caregiving—a chance to rest and recharge. Think of them as extended homes, offering care and support to children who may not live long lives. 🤝 Here’s how you can help: 👉 Donate today to expand these homes and support families on the hardest journeys. 👉 Share this post to connect us with corporate leaders and donors who can help grow our network. Together, we can ensure no family faces this journey alone. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gKb7HvYZ #nonprofit #childrensrespitehomes #familycare #giveback #healthcare #respitecare #childrensrespite

💙 Case Study: Amanda’s Journey – Support Through a Life-Changing Diagnosis 💙 Meet Amanda, a dedicated care worker in a Dementia Unit, who has been making a difference for over 21 years. Despite the challenges, she finds her role deeply rewarding. But everything changed when Amanda began to feel increasingly unwell. 💬 “I’d been feeling ill for a while, and my GP sent me for tests. The results came back that I had cancer.” The diagnosis was a devastating shock. While Amanda’s medical team provided a solid treatment plan, she faced mounting financial burdens: travel costs, hospital parking, petrol, and time off work for appointments. Unsure where to turn, Amanda’s HR department suggested she apply for a grant through The Care Workers’ Charity. Through our daily living costs grant, Amanda received funds for essential bills, groceries, and travel to her treatments. 💬 “It was a huge relief; I caught up with my bills and filled the freezer! I could concentrate on getting better rather than money.” Today, Amanda is back at work, feeling stronger, and looking forward to a bright future. 💪 Help us continue supporting care workers like Amanda during their most difficult times. Your donation brings real relief and hope. https://lnkd.in/eJ47WM_q #CareWorkersSupport #Donate #CancerAwareness #CareWorkersCharity #SupportCareWorkers #CareSector #DonateNow #HelpInCrisis #HealthcareHeroes #CareWorkersSupport #CrisisGrant #TheCareWorkersCharity #SupportInTimesOfNeed

When you give to Effect Hope, where does your money go? Here are just a few of the practical ways your donation can be used to transform the lives of people affected by NTDs: 📚 Teaching students and community members about NTDs so they can recognize symptoms and get help more quickly. 🤝 Creating peer support groups to improve mental wellbeing for those struggling with NTDs. 📊 Funding research to continue to improve NTD treatment and interventions. 🔍 Screening for NTDs in remote areas so no one is overlooked. 💵 Investing in the small businesses of people impacted by NTDs to help them regain an income after their illness. 🩹 Providing important medical supplies such as gauze and bandages to prevent infection. Your generosity brings tangible change to individuals, families, and communities through these important projects. Walking and exercising are an important part of living well with #dementia. People with dementia may have an inability to recognise familiar places, find a familiar location, or become disoriented and are more likely to become #missing. In the UK, a person is considered missing when their whereabouts cannot be established until located and their well-being or otherwise confirmed (College of Policing, 2016). Unlike practices in some countries, across the UK, there is no required time delay of 24 to 72 hours before reporting a person missing to the police. ‘Missingness’ is defined from the point of view of the reporting person. This means that a person may be missing when they themselves do not consider themselves to be missing at all. For example, where the person has changed their plans but did not communicate that to their relative. Managing the possibility of a loved one going missing is part of the conflict caregivers face between the prevention of harm and the protection of a person’s right to autonomy, particularly since walking and exercising are an important part of living well with dementia. The Herbert Protocol scheme allows professional and family caregivers, as well as friends, to complete a form in advance recording all vital details (such as medication required, mobile numbers, places previously located, a photograph, etc.) in the event a person living with dementia goes missing. https://lnkd.in/eWcfft2x #charity #dementiasupport #herbertprotocol #Alzheimers
Around 40,000 people with dementia go missing annually in the UK, which can be very stressful for families. The main reason for this is because dementia causes short-term memory loss. This leads to people getting lost and confused while they are walking, meaning they are unable to find their way home. #charity #herbertprotocol #dementiasupport https://lnkd.in/eWcfft2x

Raising Awareness & Funds for EDS 🌟 Today, I'm spotlighting a cause close to our hearts: EDS UK, a lifeline for those touched by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. One of our own, Imogen, has courageously shared her journey with Classical EDS, enlightening us on the vital support this charity provides. Diagnosed at 25 after years of nebulous symptoms, Imogen's resilience is a beacon of hope. EDS challenges her daily, affecting work and well-being. Discovering mindfulness and a remote work model, she bravely navigates her condition with tenacity. What truly propels her forward is a remarkable work family, offering unwavering backing on tough days. This solidarity is power! Yet, it's EDS UK's pivotal role in raising awareness and fostering a supportive community that underlines the urgency of our fundraiser. This charity champions education and research, illuminating a path for those affected by EDS. For Imogen, and countless others, EDS UK is more than a charity; it's a network of understanding and support amidst the isolation chronic illness can bring. Join us in amplifying their mission. Your contribution can spark change and embody the very essence of community and compassion we cherish. #EDSAwareness #CharitySupport #TogetherStronger 🦓🤲🏼💚
