“Talent is equally distributed but opportunity is not.” In a recent WE@HH session (WE at Hearst Health), Shashi Srikantan shared how Level Up Ventures invests in untapped talent to build a portfolio that directly reflects their mission to close the racial wealth gap—All of their portfolio companies are led by Black or Latino founders/CEOs and 50% are led by female CEOs. Leaders from two of these companies joined Hearst Health colleagues to share their entrepreneurial journeys and discuss how they're using #AI to deliver novel solutions: ▪ ConnectCareHero helps healthcare partners (such as senior living communities) keep older adults engaged through AI-powered software that provides culturally relevant content and programming, including health and fitness activities. ▪ Sunthetics is using AI and small data to create a "chemical GPS" that guides scientists by suggesting the right experiments to speed #innovation, with the potential to enable 32X faster product development while reducing waste and emissions up to 97%.
