It's chaotic however galore sitcom siblings evaporate into bladed air! Back successful the pre-streaming days, TV shows were made to beryllium watched erstwhile a week, truthful audiences whitethorn not ever retrieve each small detail. However, present that we tin binge-watch our favourite shows anytime, it's easier to spot the glaringly evident continuity errors. On History Of TV Intros ✒️ This one has been of great interest to me, as I am certain the key to catching the style evolution is hidden there. Notice how there was a time when an opening was a full cast introduction with character traits - that was the age of sitcoms. Then deeper stories entered the scene, and the openings became part of the storytelling. 'True Detective' opener is not just a stylish montage, it's a grim veil that wraps around our minds and welcomes us to the world of the show. And then - a change of heart. Brief and punchy openings (Peaky Blinders, Loki) - stylish, and simple, to keep our attention attached to the show itself, rather than distract with an "opener". I am positive we can tell the next trend and mood of the industry by the openers, so this is a mighty helpful video by Jorge AnataTV. https://lnkd.in/duq2zAYe I'll do a detailed breakdown of the evolution soon, too.

MAKE TEASES GREAT AGAIN! Now more than ever we need to pull out all the stops to grab the viewers attention. Odds are they’re doing the same think you are right now… looking at their phone or computer, not the TV. I try to approach each tease and standup with a purpose driven mindset that is thumbstopping and can raise their eyes to the TV. My challenge to writers of all abilities: -Avoid leading with “Coming up. Next. Ahead. After the break.” -Find a way to build in an actual and realistic call to action -Make it move! Literally, get the human on screen to move around and bring some life to the tease! What are some ways you jazz up a television news tease?
