As Christmas creeps up on us and we wind down to enjoy time with friends and family, let us remind you that the optimal time for marketing your business is all year. Marketing is not easy, we don't always like the numbers we see and there's tons of competition out there but here's a few reasons why keeping it up and sticking with it matters: • Stay Ahead of Competitors – Many businesses ramp up only for the holidays; staying active year-round helps you outpace competitors. • Build Consistent Brand Awareness – Staying visible throughout the year keeps your brand top-of-mind for customers when they’re ready to buy. • Establish Trust and Loyalty – Regular marketing fosters ongoing relationships with your audience, encouraging repeat business and referrals. • Smooth Out Sales Peaks and Valleys – Year-round marketing helps balance revenue by driving sales in non-peak seasons. • Prepare for Seasonal Campaigns – Consistent engagement makes your holiday promotions more effective, as your audience is already familiar with your business. • Strengthen Online Presence – Continuous posting, ads, and SEO work to improve your rankings and visibility, ensuring customers find you easily. • Adapt to Changing Trends – Marketing throughout the year allows you to test strategies, learn what works, and refine campaigns before major seasons. • Attract New Customers – Every season brings different opportunities to target new audiences or markets. 🛑 Consistent effort builds a foundation for long-term success—don’t wait for the holidays to shine! 🎯✨

The start of the year is a great time to get everything in order and plan ahead, and the start of 2025 has been no different here at My Event Hire and King of Laundry. We’ve dedicated time to planning out the entire year, month by month, with a key focus on our marketing strategies. Did you know that 3 in 4 people in the UK set New Year’s resolutions, but only 8% actually manage to stick to them? Why is that? Well, it’s easy to set goals, but achieving them requires a clear, well-thought-out plan. Without one, it’s easy for things to fall off track. Which is why we’ve been working on our marketing plan and setting both short-term and long-term goals for the year ahead. I’ve been diving into the analytics of our website, social media channels, and PPC campaigns to understand what worked well in 2024 and where we can make improvements. It’s all about learning from the past and using that knowledge to fuel future success. Whether personal or professional, did you set any goals for 2025? Gareth Sayer | Katie Lloyd

I just spent my entire weekend decorating the 8(!) Christmas trees in the house and am feeling a certain type of way..... So enjoy! 12 Unfiltered Marketing Realities for 2025 1. Most brands don’t have a marketing problem—they have a focus problem. Trying to be everything to everyone leaves you memorable to no one. 2. Your audience doesn’t care about your brand values unless they see them in action. Performative purpose is out; actual impact is in. 3. Spray-and-pray marketing is dead. Every dollar you spend without understanding your audience’s journey is a dollar set on fire. 4. Creative > metrics. No amount of data or optimization will save boring, forgettable campaigns. 5. B2B buyers don’t act like robots. They’re driven by emotions, politics, and fear just like anyone else—market accordingly. 6. Nobody remembers your 23-step funnel. Simplicity and clarity in messaging beat complexity every time. 7. If your content isn’t designed to spark action, it’s just noise. Engagement is great, but conversions pay the bills. 8. Your competitors aren’t your biggest threat. The real danger is inertia: sticking to the same tactics year after year while the world evolves around you. 9. Building community is the new top-of-funnel. People trust their peers more than your ads, so give them reasons to talk about you. 10. Sales bro culture is embarrassing your brand. The fastest way to alienate modern buyers is outdated, hyper-aggressive sales tactics. 11. You can’t out-market a bad product or broken customer experience. Start fixing what’s inside before you worry about what’s outside. 12. Your biggest marketing win in 2025 won’t come from copying your competitors. It’ll come from taking a risk they were too scared to try. Bonus Hot Take: Your GTM strategy probably sucks because it was designed by someone whose playbook worked before the buyer journey evolved. The 2008-2020 era of “just do more activities” is over. Which of these hit home for you? What did I miss? Let’s keep the convo spicy. 🔥
