The trends keep moving toward more in-office work and less remote work. There are still fully remote roles out there, but they are becoming harder to find as hybrid is increasingly the normal. https://lnkd.in/gFyq3_7a

Obviously I am a bit biased on this topic as a remote worker myself, but I do find reports like this fascinating as I have not come across data showing that productivity noticeably lags behind for remote companies, as opposed to those that have your traditional five days in the office model. 🤔 In fact, I actually find myself much more productive from home, and then use my time in the office to reconnect with colleagues, have in-person meetings both internally and externally, and map these visits around industry events happening in the city I am in. What are your thoughts, and what work model do you find yourself most productive in? #Remote #RemoteWork #Hybrid #HybridWork #WaysOfWorking

The office / remote / hybrid conversation continues. The resident stato on the case seems to think hybrid 1-2 days is the winner of this debate. Combining the social and learning advantages of the office with the engagement advances of remote, without the loss of productivity. Interesting to see some big names push full time office given the expectation that many employees don't want this. If you are a 5 days a week in the office company, let me know how you are finding it. #employeewellbeing #office #flexibility

**The Future Workspace: Balancing Office and Remote Dynamics** The workplace landscape is evolving, yet the debate over remote work remains more relevant than ever. Recent data highlights that a significant 83% of CEOs aim to have their staff return to full-time office arrangements within the next three years. This raises questions on how organizations and employees can strike an optimal balance between flexibility and in-person collaboration. While many employees value the flexibility of working from home, CEO preferences indicate a shift towards traditional office environments. This move suggests a future where hybrid working models might dominate, blending in-office presence with the benefits of remote work. The key lies in fostering environments that accommodate diverse work styles, ensuring productivity and innovation thrive. As organizations navigate this change, the focus should shift to enhancing workplace culture, investing in technology that bridges the remote-office divide, and maintaining open communication to address concerns. In this evolving environment, adaptability and forward-thinking strategies will define success. How do you envision the future workspace, and what balance would suit your professional needs best? #FutureOfWork #RemoteWork #WorkplaceEvolution #HybridWork #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement

I've loved working from home since 2012 but I know it's not for everyone. Young adults in particular, miss out on in-office opportunities to connect, network, and socialize with higher-ups and employees outside their department. And not everyone has the space at home for a quiet office setup. This excellent article from Aaron Brossoit looks at how employers can help make #remotework successful for everyone. #workforce #econdev #futureofwork

🏢 Employees around the world are facing calls to return to their office for some, or all, of the week. Employers argue collaboration and productivity can be improved upon when workers share the same space – but are there other factors at play? 💬 "With companies having invested billions of dollars in sprawling campuses, the shift to remote work and subsequent ‘new normal’ of sporadic office attendance must have hit a nerve with many executives." 📝 Ross Kelly argues that property costs, more than productivity drives, are behind the latest return to office demands. #ReturnToOffice | #RemoteWork | #HybridWork

The rise of remote and hybrid work has created significant challenges, particularly for those resistant to change, and has raised questions about the necessity and cost of office space. Despite claims that productivity and corporate culture require an in-office presence, financial considerations related to underutilized leases are driving many return-to-office mandates. Studies show that hybrid work models often result in higher productivity, suggesting that success should be measured by data and not gut feel, with trust and flexibility being key to navigating the evolving work landscape.
