Each participant at a 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 face-to-face workshop receives a 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝘁 for use during the workshop and to take home afterwards. Kits contain a range of skincare and makeup products, generously donated by our partners in the cosmetics industry. For many participants, learning how to shape and fill their brows is a crucial skill, making brow pencils an essential item in the Confidence Kit. In early 2024, we set a goal to provide a brow pencil to every participant in our program — requiring over 10,000 brow pencils each year. We are deeply grateful to Chi Chi Cosmetics (https://lnkd.in/gZb7hwz4) for helping us turn this vision into reality. After just one conversation with owners George Lambropoulos and Frank Nassiokas, they recognised the importance of supporting cancer patients by including a brow pencil in every Confidence Kit. Within three weeks, Chi Chi Cosmetics had delivered a year’s supply of Brow Pencils to the LGFB warehouse, helping participants face their cancer with confidence. We are committed to recognition the invaluable support of our partners. As skincare specialists, Face the Future’s hero campaign this year simply had to focus on looking after our skin – our body’s largest organ! We launched our #366DaysOfSPF campaign in January this year; as we are spending the entire year (yes, that means 366 days this year) raising awareness of the damage that can be caused by not applying sunscreen on a daily basis. More people in Britain die from Melanoma each year than in Australia. How crazy is that? And as most cases are preventable, we feel it is our responsibility as a retailer of sunscreen to spread the message as far and wide as we can - that even in this cold and usually cloudy country, we need to apply SPF every day. A key part of our campaign has been to team up with our charity partner; the British Skin Foundation and MP Amy Callaghan, herself a Melanoma survivor, to make SPF more accessible to UK consumers through support of her VAT BURN campaign. Why is this campaign important? Because protecting your skin from sun damage is not a privilege. It is essential. And hence, sunscreens should not be seen as a cosmetic product. They should be VAT Exempt! So, on 14th March, with support from our brand partners, we were able to cut VAT from all SPF products on our site until 31st May. Given how successful this campaign has been, we are hoping to extend this cut throughout the summer to maintain momentum and encourage consumers to protect their skin from damage at a time of year when risks are heightened. But we can’t stop there. Yesterday, LOOKFANTASTIC.COM followed up our campaign by cutting VAT from their core SPF products 👏 and Superdrug repeated their 2023 campaign of cutting VAT on their own brand sunscreens. This movement has started, and it needs additional momentum to get Parliament to take notice and do the right thing. So, Boots UK, SEPHORA, Space NK, BEAUTY BAY, retailers of all shapes and sizes, are you in? Cut. The. VAT. #VATBURN #366DaysOfSPF #sunscreen

I am sharing this article to all who use make-up, or know people who use make-up. It seems scary that a common ingredient in make-up (talc) has small but dangerous amounts of asbestos (cancer causing) ... there is an easy and safe alternative = corn starch. https://lnkd.in/eB-Ah3AE

Are you a prosthetic user or do you know someone who is? Did you know that there is a possibility for perfect stump care with natural cosmetics which was developed specifically for these cases? Get to know OP.RehabSkinCare which has already been tested on many prosthetic users with different conditions (young + healthy + trauma-related injuries - elderly + weakened + diabetic patients) and in many countries during development period. The main starting point of our product development was a case from 7 years ago involving a prosthetic fitting, when even the most advanced technology at the time became unusable, and no stump care or other skincare products sent by orthopedic technicians across Europe were helpful. Everyone wanted to help, but no solution could be found. ❓ Why ❓ Any product that forms a film layer (silicone, parabens, and other poorly absorbing ingredients) is unsuitable for quality stump care. It is time to finally replace these products. The OP.RehabSkinCare cleanser: Purifier B1 + quick soothing moisturizer: Toning Milk B2 and scar treatment: Therapy Oleogel T4 provide a perfect solution for prosthetic users. As part of NATRUE - The International Natural and Organic Cosmetics Association's #NaturalCosmeticsWeek campaign, we are supporting Beni's healing ( https://lnkd.in/dFDzgUET ) by donating 20% of the total value of all orders placed during the campaign period. Please help by making a purchase ( https://lnkd.in/dFDzgUET ) and 📣 sharing this message 📣 ..., so that it reaches as many people as possible! While no longer as prevalent as it once was, examples of asbestos-containing products continue to come to light, including talc commonly used in cosmetics and other personal care products. In 2015, Disney- and Nickelodeon-branded crayons were found to contain traces of asbestos, as were eye shadows and powders sold by Claire’s and Justice stores as recently as 2020. A breast self-exam helps women become familiar with their breasts, making it easier to notice and report any unusual changes. Here are the key steps: • One must remove their garments and stand in front of a mirror. • One should closely look for changes in breast shape, swelling of the breasts, changes in the position of the nipples, or any dimpling in the skin. • To examine the left breast, one should use their right hand, then to examine the right breast, one should use their left hand. • To feel and detect any spots or lumps, one should use the pads of their three middle fingers. • At first, use light pressure, and then slowly make the pressure firm. Make sure to press the tissue nearest to the armpit. • Make sure to examine the area around the nipple (Areola). Squeeze the nipple to check for discharge. • All the above-mentioned steps can be performed while standing in front of the mirror, lying down, before the shower, or after the shower. Regular self-exams help you detect changes early. Act quickly to protect yourself by self-examining! Together, let's take action!
