𝐒𝐀𝐏 𝐌𝐌 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 --> Returnable Transport Packaging (RTP) Material 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: - RTP is the process where a company or user returns the packaging material back to the vendor’s end after consuming the main product. (e.g. Glass Soft drink bottles, Gas Cylinders, empty crates, etc.) 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬:- • Main material should be the Material type- ROH • Packaging material should be the Material type- LEIH • RTP stocks are owned externally, which is non-valuated. • RTP stocks are always lying under the unrestricted stock; this stock can neither be in the quality inspection nor be in the blocked stock. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰:- 1. Create Main Material with Material Type ROH by using T-code MM01 2. Create Returnable Transport Packaging Material by using T-code MM01 & Material type LEIH 3. Now, Create Standard PO for ROH material, there is no need to add RTP material in the PO. 4. Goods receipt with respect to purchase order no. with 101 movement type. 5. Here in the MIGO, the returnable packaging material will be entered with movement type - 501 M (M is the special stock indicator). 6. Now, after using the main material we need to send back the RTP. Here, we will use MIGO again for goods issue to vendor. The movement type should be 502 M.

The supply chain analyzing network for potential savings opportunities, such as cutting down on transportation costs by opting for less expensive shipping methods or finding better suppliers. These costs can be broken down into two types, fixed and variable. Fixed costs are those that do not change with the number of shipments, such as rent and insurance. Variable costs are those that changes with the number of shipments, such as fuel and labor. We need to consider a few things while selecting a supplier. For example, A) Quality assurance B) Delivery Lead time C) Payment terms D) Responsiveness of supplier etc.
