𝐀 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬’ 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 🌞In Lisbon, the #SolarThermal technology is being put at the service of the community water consumption needs, installed in public buildings such as student residences and sporting facilities. This technology converts sunlight into heat, providing hot water, heating, as well as cooling for buildings. By supplementing central heating systems, solar thermal ensures long-term energy savings and reduces reliance on conventional energy sources 🔋In Seixal, we visited the Green Pipeline Project site (GPP), an innovative pilot project led by Floene, Portugal’s largest gas distribution network operator. This is the first project in Portugal to bring a mixture of green #hydrogen and natural gas to a variety of consumers, progressively injecting it into the local gas distribution network to power homes and businesses. 🌱 During our visit, we could see with our eyes how a balanced and sustainable energy system can be achieved, putting energy system integration into practice. Adopting a multi-technology approach that leverages the full energy mix will help ensure a socially and environmentally sustainable decarbonization of buildings and communities. 🔜 More to come, stay tuned! #EHIInnovationTour

Exploring Methods to Enhance Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in the Public Sector A key initial step for every public institution is to conduct an assessment of their available roof space. Following this evaluation, institutions should consider installing photovoltaic systems or collaborating with the public community to deploy these energy infrastructures. This is the law proposal already registered in the senate of Romania: https://lnkd.in/daK6XtP7 Insights from a recent Greenpeace report highlight the significant impact of such initiatives: - 11 cities in Romania could save over €4 million annually by leveraging the potential of photovoltaic energy on the roofs of public buildings within their local heritage. The total roof area available across these cities is estimated to exceed 1 million square meters. - The potential of photovoltaic energy generated by heritage buildings in the analyzed cities can surpass the total annual energy consumption by up to three times. This project not only underscores the immense potential of renewable energy in reducing operational costs but also exemplifies a step forward in our commitment to sustainability.

Did you know that installing solar panels on our homes could cover Denmark's entire electricity consumption? 🥳 With a total need of approximately 84 million solar panels of 400 watts each, we can achieve energy independence and sustainability. Here's the exciting part: if we distributed these panels across the country’s homes, it would only require on average 30 panels per household! By placing solar panels on rooftops, we can avoid using valuable farmland and preserve our natural landscapes, all while contributing to a greener future. This approach leverages the space we already have and empowers each household to be a part of Denmark's clean energy revolution. Let's imagine a Denmark where every roof contributes to powering our nation. Together, we can make this vision a reality! 🌱☀️ #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #SolarPower #GreenEnergy #Denmark
