Endurance Adventure. *** Governing our country should be an endurance adventure, not a culture war. When we take on challenges because they are hard, push through resistance when everything goes to @#$!, and regroup for rest, we build endurance. The Liberatus creative cycle, connecting policy debates to everyday conversations with renewed values, is built to be an endurance adventure, so you and many Americans can participate to make our country more just and free. To create Volume Two, leader training, and community connections, we’ve set a goal of raising $2,000 in monthly donations. That’s part of the bigger goal of raising $1m over five years to become a biannual publication and national grassroots organization. Here’s the direct link to set up your plan: https://lnkd.in/e5MeMxMw Build endurance.

You see my t-shirt? It says “let’s root for each other”, which is the whole point of today: GIVE MIAMI DAAAY! More than 1,000 organizations and the heroes that work at them are hoping they get some love back through your donations today. If we don’t, we’ll keep going. If we do, we’ll work happier, more effectively, and more efficiently too. If you, yes YOU, 1 of the 3,000+ people I’m connected with here give only $25, $75,000 would be poured into the social impact ecosystem. Give to any organization and/or Radical Partners today. We’ll root for everything either way. 💜💜💜 https://lnkd.in/e5sydNx2

As I reflect on my journey with KIBRA, I’m reminded that business isn't just about numbers—balance sheets, profit margins, and cash flow are crucial, but they don’t define us. In tough times, I’ve faced challenges where financial performance wasn’t where I wanted it to be. It’s a tough reality that impacts our team, partners, and suppliers. Yet, through it all, I've always believed in the importance of giving back. Even when resources were tight, we made it a priority to donate our products to charities that empower girls and women through sports. I may not always know who receives our donations, but I trust the organizations to do great work. I believe that the girls who receive KIBRA products will experience joy and growth through sports—and that’s what truly matters. KIBRA’s spirit goes beyond financial success. It’s about kindness, dreams, and community. This year, we’ve collaborated with many charities—some initiatives were public, while others were quietly supported. For us, it’s not just about the brand; it’s about creating impact and fostering a community of empowerment. When I think about what business means, it’s about kindness. Creating value, meeting needs, and supporting one another—this is what drives us. By working with like-minded partners, we can shape a better world together.

No nonprofit is an island. You need people, organizations, and institutions. Playing all by yourself will keep you small and limited. To sit in the big table, you must learn how to play with the big and significant boys. Only then can you get access to the sumptuous buffet served on the other side you've so greatly desired. But first, you must do the work of building partnerships within and outside your community. And you must do so strategically, intentionally, and collectively as an organization; not the half-baked partnership you are used to.

Today is R U OK? Day 💛 As fundraisers, we dedicate ourselves to making a difference for others, but it’s just as important to check in with each other. Today, we’re reminded to ask a simple yet powerful question: R U OK? Take the time to connect with your colleagues, friends, and loved ones—not just today, but every day. A conversation can change a life. Let’s look out for one another and build a community where everyone feels supported. #RUOKDay #FundraisingCommunity #FIAACT

I'M GIVING BACK 💰👇 (seriously) But first, let me give you a visual 👀 —one that starts with a small nonprofit driven by passion and a relentless commitment to change lives... Yet, despite their unwavering dedication, they face a common hurdle: the struggle to secure the donations needed to make a real impact. Well, this resonated deeply with us all, at Upstart 13. We really get it, how the weight of those early challenges feels, stuck without access to expensive resources. That’s why we decided to do something about it. ➡ Enter the Give Back Program—a personal mission for me. It's not only just donations; it's also about fueling change and amplifying impact. It's about the lives we touch and the stories we create together. In our latest blog post, I finally reveal how the Give Back Program is making a difference, one partnership at a time. https://lnkd.in/e9uA9t9t So, let's make a new journey together. 🌟

2024 is going to be a BIG year. We all know it, but it was eye-opening--and a pleasure--to partner with experts across Arabella Advisors to produce a piece that explores the specific trends that will shape the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors over the coming year. We look at the issues that will demand greater attention from funders (democracy! public interest tech!), changes in how decisions get made (trust-based giving), and the vehicles more funders are turning to to get dollars out the door (DAFs, direct giving mechanisms). It's a great piece, and I hope you'll read it and share your reactions with us. https://lnkd.in/dNn3BSR4
