Everywhere there are ... ... people who couldn't afford a hot meal today. ... people without a home, who pray that the night won't be too cold. ... parents visiting their children in hospital, hoping that today's prognosis will bring better news. ... children walking home from school wondering if their parents will greet them with a belt for some perceived mistake. We're not going to make all the suffering in the world go away, but we can try to brighten someone's day. Because everywhere there are  ... people trying to create small moments of light in the darkness. ... possibilities to do the same. Today, on International Volunteer Day, let's appreciate those who give their time to put a smile on a face, or even food on a table, and ask themselves how they can help those less fortunate then themselves. Perhaps today is the perfect time to think about how even a few hours of your time could make a difference, too. Could you help out in a soup kitchen? This movement-wide week of action is dedicated to amplifying non-monogamous voices, identities, and experiences, with the goal of dismantling stereotypes, promoting acceptance, and celebrating the progress we've made as a community. Each weekday during this special week has a unique theme that explores different aspects of the non-monogamous experience, including History & Culture, Identity & Inclusion, Myths & Misconceptions, Public & Private, and Law & Advocacy. The weekend is filled with Action & Events, both in-person and online, providing opportunities for individuals to get involved and make a difference.
