Barbell Romanian Deadlift mistakes! Here is a video showing the wrong way vs the right way of performing the RDLs! Correct technique: ✅ 1. The barbell moves parallel to the shins, touching them. ✅ 2. Keep your back straight, avoid letting the barbell touch the floor, maintain a small gap between the floor and the barbell, and slightly push your hips back. Common mistakes: ❌ 1. There is a gap between the shins and the barbell as it moves down. ❌ 2. Love seeing the World Famous Kissimmee Muscle 24 hour gym brand alive in the world from the 2024 NPC Nationals Heavyweight Bodybuilding first callout Deep group of bodybuilding athletes at this year’s competition across all classes! I believe we are really seeing the effects of BAD IG bodybuilding advice, as in my opinion as an NPC Judge and athlete for 35 years, we have a consistent over development of glutes (1990’s bodybuilders were very cautious about not letting leg exercises get into the glutes too much) It was not a compliment if someone in your gym said, “dude, that’s gonna make your ass big!” Also, some of the least developed back musculature I have ever seen. I assume this stems directly from the massive shift in focus from heavy core exercises to frilly cable shaping movements. I honestly don’t care how complicated your cable set up is, it is inferior in every way to properly executed heavy rows, period! Gotta row to grow! No one asked me…stop the direct glute work on leg days and pick up a barbell, t bar, one arm row and seated cable row on every back day. If you have anything remaining in the tank when you’ve properly executed these, do some fu fu cable work if it makes you feel better!
