I don’t believe there is such thing as evil. Sure, there is a lot of crap in the world. War. Hunger. Genocide. Racism. Discrimination. Anger. Fear. But nobody is evil. They are simply doing the best they can based on their model of the world. They may feel the deck is stacked against them and that taking certain action is the only way to level the playing field. Maybe they have been marginalized or repressed by another group so eliminating the threat might seem to be the logical way to improve their situation. Or that by forcibly taking power, they can increase what they have or can at least be in a position to control what happens to them. But that doesn’t make them evil. Misguided perhaps, but not evil. I say all this because I see a lot of people hating on others, particularly on social media. People segregating themselves into one group against another. The truth is that everything and everyone is intrinsically connected. Everything you do to others you do to yourself. Everything others do to you they do to themselves. The sooner we come to know this – the sooner we raise our collective consciousness – the sooner we can get past all this petty nonsense and start solving the problems that plague human kind. Such as why we allow others to suffer. Why some wallow in excess while others have none. Or why we destroy the Earth and then turn a blind eye to what we’ve done. A new global consciousness is needed. Somebody has to start. Who is willing to join me? #LawyerLife #CollectiveConsciousness #Evil #EverythingIsConnected #NML
