The in-silico clinical trials to validate our in-silico testing approach on specific questions of interest for our medical device use cases, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and pulmonary artery pressure sensor (PAPS), have finally started. Our partners at Eindhoven University of Technology, Institut für Implantat Technologie und Biomaterialien e.V, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, in collaboration with our colleagues at ECRIN (European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network) and Transilvania University of Brasov, will utilise 4 application scenarios, including: - Assessment of  the effects of convergent and divergent left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) shapes, and calcifications on clinical outcomes such as paravalvular leakage (PVL), on TAVI; - Evaluation of the effects of side branches of the pulmonary artery on device implantation and intravascular haemodynamics, and therefore the risk for device thrombosis, and comparison of hemodynamic and structural mechanical parameters between the chronic animal experiment and human application, for PAPS. Now deployed at the Clinical Research Center of Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild in Paris, real-time Doppler holography of the retina is set to become a new standard for non-invasive monitoring of quantitative retinal and choroidal hemodynamic biomarkers. 👁 ❤️ The ‘Holodoppler’ programme (public funding #France2030) is a consortium comprising Lumibird Medical - Quantel Medical, Ellex & Optotek,Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild, Hôpital national des Quinze-Vingts , and ESPCI Paris - PSL. 🎯 The aim is to develop a non-invasive medical device capable of quantitatively measuring ocular blood flow. This optical doppler using digital holography will make it possible to quantify ocular haemodynamics and improve diagnosis and monitoring of #glaucoma and #hypertension.
