🌟 Reflections on ACCESS Scientific Conference 2024! 🌟 I’m excited to share my experience as an organization committee member for the ACCESS 2024 Scientific Conference! This event was a hub of innovation, bringing together thought leaders, researchers, and industry disruptors. Here are my key takeaways: 1️⃣ Startups as Innovation Catalysts: Startups were highlighted as a driving force in tech innovation. Their agility and disruptive thinking are reshaping industries, especially in fields like AI, machine learning, and data analytics. 2️⃣ Bridging Academia & Entrepreneurship: ACCESS showed the potential of linking academic research with entrepreneurial ventures. Many successful startup stories stem from academic discoveries, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between students, researchers, and entrepreneurs. 3️⃣ Networking with Changemakers: ACCESS provided an incredible platform for networking with innovative minds. Engaging with entrepreneurs and researchers gave me fresh perspectives on how startups can tackle today’s biggest challenges with creativity and bold thinking. 🚀 Grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a dynamic event. The last few months have been challenging for different reasons, but something that brought me a lot of joy was the opportunity to run Science Entrepreneur Club's Accelerator - the Innovator's Club - alongside Matthew McCann. It's been an amazing, super rewarding process. Grateful that I got to know some really amazing people dedicating their lives to improving our world through innovation - and I learned a lot while doing so! We worked to put eight start-ups, in the fields of 🔬 Life Sciences and 🌍 Planetary Health, through 10 weeks of coaching & networking to support on their growth trajectory. The program built up to a Showcase last week where they pitched to a couple dozen investors and we got to celebrate the last two months! A panel & investor vote then decided on a winner for a prize from our partners at London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC), PNO Consultants, First Create The Media and Koolen Consulting Ltd. Super grateful for really great testimonials from the Cohort. Thank you for making this program really great and I hope we were able to support you on your journey.
