The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on marine-derived bioactive molecules, particularly targeting innovative therapeutic applications as potent anticancer/antiviral. #Key Responsibilities: Lead independent synthetic and medicinal chemistry research, driving the project from design to implementation. #Able to conduct and apply advanced computational chemistry studies, including molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations for fragment-based drug discovery and pharmocophore virtiual screening. #Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research environment, contributing to publications and conference presentations. #Essential Qualifications: PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field. #Strong publication record in high-impact journals. #Expertise in complex organic synthesis, drug design, and bioactive compound development. #Proven experience in computational chemistry tools such as AutoDock, Schrödinger, or similar software. #Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative research environment. #Desirable Skills: 1-Strong and hands-on experience in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry 2-Familiarity with structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies. 3-Knowledge of modern analytical techniques (NMR, MS, HPLC). #Application Process: Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr. El-Demerdash directly with a cover letter, CV, and a summary of research experience and future aspirations.
