2024 has been interesting because we’re starting to see the first big wave of diverse founders on their 2nd company. Many launched their first startup in 2012-2018 and are now thinking about or already in their 2nd act Been chatting with many and some themes for how they want to approach their 2nd startup - Who your investor partners are matters, alot. especially towards the end of your company. Pick wisely - Knowing who you want on your early team - Distribution and customers over everything - Focus on solving bigger, bolder problems

Look for resilience in startup founders and their team. Please ignore their skin color, gender, size, age, culture, etc. Let yourself be surprised by what actually makes great founders and startup team members. Have a look at their story to evaluate their resilience. What was their journey like? How much resilience have they shown over time to get to where they are at now. Value the challenges and longitude of their journey more than their current position and status. If they have come far, it's very likely they will go a lot further. That's potential! That's worth supporting and investing into.
"When you are working on a startup, you have to put in blood, sweat, and tears to convince even a single user to care about trying your product." "Let alone convincing the first 10 or 100" The most important quality for startup founders? Resilience. *** Enjoy this? Follow Brad Klune for more

I’ve been reviewing startups for the TechChill Fifty Founders Battle. To help founders shine even brighter, here are a few tips to level up your pitch: 1. Get to the point. What are you building, who’s it for, and why will it beat what’s out there? 2. Sell the team, not the resumes. Why are you the best team to solve this problem? 3. Be realistic about TAM. Near-term, bottoms-up, not pie-in-the-sky numbers. Show me the money. Where does this funding take you? What milestones will you hit? Nail these, and you’re already ahead of the pack. 🚀
