The world-class One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha is progressing at pace, with roof construction now passed the halfway mark.
The first of its kind in the country, One New Zealand Stadium will deliver an exceptional experience for visitors. With a capacity of 25,000 permanent seats and an additional 5,000 temporary seats, it can accommodate up to 30,000 for field sport events and 36,000 for concerts, all in a fully enclosed stadium - making it one of the most accessible, inclusive, sustainable and flexible venues in Aotearoa.
"One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha is set to become a landmark for the region, as a place to host unforgettable events and bring our people together in ways that go beyond the traditional stadium experience," says WAM Senior Associate Matt Body. "You can really feel the energy and excitement building as the stadium rapidly takes shape."
New drone video, released by Christchurch City Council this month, provides a close-up look at the progress and commentary from BESIX Watpac Project Director Adrian Jones.
