What Does 301 Move Permanently Means? 301 Moved Permanently is an HTTP status code that indicates the resource requested by the client has been permanently moved to a new location. When this status code is returned, it usually includes a URL in the response headers that specifies the new location of the resource. This allows the client (such as a web browser) to redirect its request to the new location and access the moved resource seamlessly. The purpose of this code is to inform clients and servers about changes in the location of resources on a website or server, ensuring that users can still access the content even after changes have occurred.

A proxy server acts as an intermediary between a client (like a web browser) and the server (such as a website). Instead of connecting directly to the website, your request is sent through the proxy, which then fetches the requested data on your behalf. #server #load_balancer #proxy #forward_proxy #reverse_proxy

The main differences between HTTP, HTTPS, and WWW are: 𝐇𝐓𝐓𝐏 A protocol that allows data transfer and communication between web browsers and servers. HTTP is the underlying technology that enables network communication. 𝐇𝐓𝐓𝐏𝐒 A more secure version of HTTP that uses digital certificates to encrypt connections and data. HTTPS uses port 443, while HTTP uses port 80. 𝙒𝙒𝙒 It stands for World Wide Web, and is a set of linked hypertext documents that can be viewed on a web browser. WWW is often used as a prefix in website URLs and indicates that the website uses HTTP to communicate. WWW is not mandatory and doesn't serve a technical purpose other than to identify the URL as a website. #wordpress#kadence#webdevelopment#webdesign#WoocommerceWebsite

Have you ever clicked through to a website, only to be set with a number, 404 for example? These codes are the internet’s way of communicating what’s happening happening when your browser requests content from a server. If the site is up and running smoothly then you won’t see the code, but if the site, or just a single page, is experiencing an issue, HTTP status codes tell you why. We are already staring down at the next HTTP protocol version, but... 1. Plenty of websites out there are still served over HTTP only (yes, missing the "S"), they don't want to enforce HTTPS (pretty easy, but they will have you believe it is hard), or cannot figure out a way to charge the websites to do so (pretty stupid, unless they all still uses ancient web browsers) 2. Plenty more web servers are not configured to use HTTP/2 (and, no they are not rolled out by default for most servers, you have to ensure your "build" to include the required modules), while I don't have the numbers, you can bet there are a fair amount of web servers out there not offering it for whatever reasons https://lnkd.in/g7KvNiSd
