What advice do you have for these high school students who want to become, you know, an NFL player in the future? I would say, I mean, have you? But first you gotta believe in yourself. I mean, because people are going to tell you that you're crazy, that you want to do that, and they're going to tell you how hard it is. They're going to give you the good, the bad, the ugly, all of that. But if that's something that you really want to do. Then I feel like you should be passionate about it. And I feel like if you're passionate about it, no one should ever have to wake you up to go work out and put in extra work. Nobody should have to call you and say, hey, let's go throw today or let's go do this today. If you passionate about it, you'll work at it every day and then you'll get better at it each day. And then at at some point you'll end up not mastering it, but you'll get to a point where it's like the Kobe Bryant. Approach. I mean this dude. Work ethic was unmatched. I mean, he never let anybody outwork him. And if you want to get to a level like that, because everybody's good at the professional level, so is what are you going to do to separate yourself from everybody else? And that's that extra work when nobody else is around and nobody else is looking at them, separate you from everybody else. So if you really, really want to do that, you're going to have to give up a lot of things, hanging out with your friends and, you know, doing other different things. That time is going to have to be incorporated. In that you working on your crab and getting better and better each day and just keep stacking those days up and then you'll have something. So if you wanna do it, you can definitely do it. But that's why it's so hard to get there because everybody don't have that elite mindset because they won't you know, they can get distracted by other things and they won't put in that extra work when the other guy is out there putting in that work. So you like I said, you can definitely do it, but you just gotta, you gotta really, really, really be passionate about it. And you gotta really work out of everything because if you don't love it, it'll show, especially when you get to that level for sure.

This post details the list of the college baseball programs with the most championship seasons of all time. The thing is, this list reflects all of college baseball history, but it does not reflect the last 20 years. College baseball has been absolutely dominated by the SEC in recent years, and this means that the SEC continues to profit off its championships. Started reading Malcolm Gladwell Outliers Chapter one was very interesting. In the first chapter of Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell introduces the "Matthew Effect," showing how small advantages can lead to significant success over time. He uses the example of Canadian hockey players to explain how birth dates can impact a player’s chances of making it to the top. Because the cutoff date for youth hockey leagues is January 1st, children born in the early months are often bigger and more physically mature than those born later in the year. This slight age advantage allows them to be selected for elite teams, receive better coaching, and gain more practice opportunities. Over time, these early advantages compound, making these players more likely to succeed. Gladwell's point is clear: if you have even a small advantage at the start, it can grow into a huge one in the future. What about you-when were you born and do you think it has shaped your path?

Football season is here! I know I’m a baseball guy, but, I love me some college football…especially my Iowa Hawkeyes and LSU Tigers! Everything seems to turn into a competition this time of year…fantasy football, people arguing about whose team is better, my kids flexing about how big their fish is! 🤣 But here’s the big reminder I get every time a major sports season starts: your competition isn’t other people.
