In times of need, coming together to help others is what matters most. 💛 Limoneira contributed to relief efforts in North Carolina, providing much-needed donations to communities affected by Hurricane Helene. With the help of our Regional Sales Manager, Kimberly Mangum, and her son, Sullivan, who both live in North Carolina, we worked alongside local partners like W.R. Vernon and Houston Transportation to deliver food, household essentials, and pet supplies. We're honored to have supported the incredible relief efforts during this time. A special thank you to the North Carolina State Troopers who helped escort the donations, ensuring they reached those in need. And a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this meaningful mission. To everyone affected by Hurricane Helene, we stand with you and your communities.

This past week, I went through hurricane Milton. As Devin said, thank you to everyone who has helped! We had power back quickly, and were in turn able to help many people with various needs. There was tons of work to do; trees to trim, leaves to sweep, branches to drag to curbs. All the physical work confirmed my path with PwC. 😅 While I loved being able to help people at the individual level, that physical work is NO JOKE! So, tying this in to my professionalism - what can you do to help me succeed? I need you to spread the word - PwC does SMB bookkeeping! What does that mean? PwC’s Bookkeeping Connect, my current team, has a mission to help small & medium-sized businesses so they can have an impact on their people, their community, and, eventually, the world. All I ask is you spread the word to the world, because if I get enough ripples we can make a wave. 🌊
In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the incredible individuals, teams, and organizations who have stepped up to help the people of Florida during this challenging time. Whether through emergency response, relief efforts, donations, or simply offering a helping hand to neighbors, your support has been invaluable. To the first responders, lineman, volunteers, local businesses, and community members—your dedication and resilience are what make our communities stronger. Together, we’re rebuilding and recovering, and your compassion is truly inspiring. #FloridaStrong #CommunitySupport #Gratitude

The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina is immense. With many people stuck in place due to destruction and without water or electricity, our neighbors across the Carolinas require aid. For those seeking ways to help, we'd like to highlight and vouch for two local organizations accepting donations to support those in great need. The first is a sightseeing helicopter tour owned by a couple running supply drops from the downtown Greenville airport to the Western NC area. They are currently collecting supplies from Runway Café and donations at https://hubs.li/Q02RS0LN0 If you're local and can bring supplies, the following items are in high demand. • Batteries • Flashlights • Chainsaws • Bottled Water • Pre-mixed baby formula This second is another GoFundMe page from a couple with a bakery in the Black Mountains, raising funds to provide temporary income to the communities stuck in place and resources to support local projects in supplying basic resources. https://hubs.li/Q02RRtmg0 Please consider supporting the people still harm's way as a result of Helene, and keep them in your hearts.

Walmart ALWAYS steps up Tyson always steps up Elon is saving astronauts with one hand and delivering comms to NC/TN for free with the other.. all while kicking the administration in the ass all day on X! Don’t get me started on how the magnificent trucking companies -BIG and small-always step up in crisis and deliver and restore America .. ALWAYS Where is Google? Where is Apple? Where is YouTube? Where’s Meta? Where’s Nike? Where are all these woke companies who love us so much and have our best interest at heart “protecting” us from “bad MAGA people information?” Where are they?!?
Today, 47 Walmart trucks arrived at stores, clubs and community organizations across South Carolina and North Carolina delivering essential supplies. A huge thank you to the drivers, associates and teams who are on the ground, teams working with local, state and federal officials, and serving communities in so many ways. We know there will be a long recovery ahead. Today is one piece of a larger and longer-term effort to help all of our impacted communities recover. Looking to help? We are matching donations to the American Red Cross 1:1, up to $2.5 million, when donations to support hurricane relief are made at the registers in stores and clubs and on Walmart.com from Sept. 30 – Oct. 13. If you’ve been impacted, check out our comprehensive list of resources and aid, including locations for mobile services like food, showers, and laundry. We’re here to support. https://walmrt.us/3XPPuyq #Helene

The devastating impact of Hurricane Milton serves as a stark reminder of the importance of supporting rebuilding home charities. As communities begin the long recovery process, organizations like the Florida Disaster Fund, Catholic Charities, and SBP are providing critical aid. Your contributions can help restore homes, provide shelter, and revitalize affected areas. Consider donating to reputable charities and spreading awareness about the ongoing needs. Together, we can make a difference. #Rebuilds #Charities #Shelters

The storm that hit the Western North Carolina area is mindboggling. So many people have suffered unfathomable loss. Homes and vehicles are destroyed, land wiped out, and businesses leveled. The loss of life is heartbreaking. The resilience and faith of our community is inspiring. Everyone I speak with begins the conversation with immense gratitude followed quickly by compassion and care. These difficult situations remind us that togetherness matters; even between those who are oceans apart in life perspective. 99% of what I have witnessed online has been supportive and loving, and there will always be the 1% who prey on these situations to drive divisiveness. Modeling non-reaction to the 1% is a practice. And doing so frees up the mental and heart capacity to focus on what and who truly matter. As the days pass, the media will lose interest in this event. Probably healthy for all as life does move forward. But please remember that it will be months of recovery. Please keep people in your prayers, stay close to friends and family you know in the area, and if you're able, donate time, talent, and treasure to support the recovery. There are so many ways to help. **If you have a relationship with the team at Arcadia Beverage, we have created a go-fund-me to support our employees. The link is below.**
In the wake of Hurricane Helene, many of our employees are facing significant challenges across Western North Carolina. Most have lost power, water, and cell service, and others have suffered major damage to their homes. Many are unable to leave their homes due to impassable driveways, roads, and bridges. To support our affected coworkers, we are launching an Employee Relief Fund. This fund will help meet essential needs such as food, water, shelter repairs, and transportation assistance. Your generous donations, whether large or small, can make a huge difference for our people during this difficult time. The company is currently reaching out to all employees to assess their safety and needs. Please join us in supporting our team members to ensure everyone can recover as smoothly as possible. We are grateful for your compassion and support. Arcadia Beverage https://lnkd.in/eWezJiAQ

Relief efforts are in place - here is how you can help:
North Carolina mountain photos after Helene (Tue Oct 1). Donations needed. You can help! Luckily my family and friends are safe, everyone is dealing with awful conditions. People are stranded because of road conditions. Responders & line crews are navigating this in order to help. As you can imagine based on these photos it is going to be a long recovery. 3 organizations providing assistance: Operation Airdrop is helping get much needed supplies to the area. https://lnkd.in/ePhfCxaR... Meals: Mercy Chefs and World Central Kitchen are in Asheville area serving hot meals. https://lnkd.in/ebMuUPum...
