3 Things I learnt watching Italy at the European Championship 1. You cannot play (work) with fear: You must be fearless, you must go with a smile on your face and start as a winner, play as a winner and close as a winner. I saw deep fear on the faces of our players. Always retreating and worried. Already doomed before the kick off. 2. You must play hard and command respect. I remember the time when our defense was respected by everybody. I remember when we had players like Gentile, Brio, and then Maldini, Nesta, Chiellini, Gattuso. Now it is a joke to play with us. You must be a person of respect, on the field and outside. Today players go to the hotel to play with the playstation....or worst (betting on sports). Be serious on your work and outside. 3. Use your fantasy, be creative: When things are going wrong, when you are less strong, think how to use what you have at your advantage. Think how to win, even if the odds are against you. Football is an art and we won 4 world cups with our creativity. In our professional life, when things are going wrong, smile, and think how to win.
