Celebrating Two Incredible Years with Cari! 🎉 Today marks a significant milestone for Cari as we proudly celebrate two years of transforming the food delivery and on-demand industry. Founding Cari was driven by a vision to support restaurants and enhance their profitability in an increasingly competitive market. By shifting the revenue model from commission-based to Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) based, we’ve redefined the way restaurants engage with our platform. As the first and only startup operating with this model, we believe this is the only way forward for restaurants. Our approach allows each restaurant to pay a one-time fee for their first customer order, benefitting from every subsequent order at no additional cost. This innovative strategy has enabled our partner restaurants to realize substantial savings, which is crucial in an industry where profit margins are razor thin. By keeping more of their hard-earned money, restaurants can invest in their operations, improve customer experiences, and ensure their longevity within the ecosystem. We are proud to have disrupted an industry that hasn’t seen significant change in over 14 years. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Cari team! Your hard work, creativity, and commitment have been instrumental in our success. Together, we have built something truly special, and I couldn't be prouder to work alongside such dedicated individuals. Thank you to our restaurant partners for placing their trust in us, and here’s to more growth and success in the future! 🍽️🚀 #FoodDelivery #Startup #Innovation #ThankYou #Restaurants #Entrepreneurship #Teamwork #Disruption

#supplychain #transportation What is more important: your strategy or its execution? You can argue, of course, that both are required for success. You can also argue that a highly efficient company with a bad strategy will just go down the drain faster than an average performer. This is the logic behind many startups, especially when they receive enormous amounts of funding. You want a great management team so that you fail fast. This will give you time to pivot and go again. This only works within a limited range of possibilities, of course. You can't transform animal farm into an automotive manufacturer over night, or ever. Teams are often under duress by the time they decide to pivot and typically make the decision too late. Hence pivots are rarely successful. A rare and noteworthy exception is Wonder, which just received $700M in new funding. The company started out with the idea of driving vans to consumer homes to prepare food in situ. We probably don't need to discuss the myriad of reasons why this is a really bad idea. The company then shifted to operating high-end kitchens in a hub and spoke model. A single kitchen can serve up to 30 "restaurant" locations, which act as pickup, delivery, and sometimes dine-in points. Wonder has invented faster ways to cook and controls the entire chain from raw material to customer delivery, which allows for a 30-minute order to delivery time. This is not just a culinary innovation, but just as much a supply chain one. They'll be hugely successful if they can keep the unit economics in check. #truckl #innovation

Inspiring Story: Coca-Cola's Journey of Innovation and Resilience As young entrepreneurs, we often look to iconic companies for inspiration. One such story is that of Coca-Cola, a brand that has not only defined the beverage industry but has also exemplified resilience and innovation over the decades. Founded in 1886 by Dr. John Pemberton, Coca-Cola started as a humble soda fountain beverage, sold for just five cents a glass. Fast forward to today, it has become a global symbol of refreshment and happiness, available in over 200 countries. What sets Coca-Cola apart is its ability to adapt and innovate. Throughout its history, the company has faced numerous challenges—from economic downturns to changing consumer preferences—and each time, Coca-Cola has emerged stronger. One of its most notable innovations was in 1985 when it introduced New Coke, a reformulated version of its classic drink. Despite initial backlash, Coca-Cola listened to its customers and swiftly brought back the original formula as Coca-Cola Classic, demonstrating its commitment to consumer satisfaction. Moreover, Coca-Cola has embraced diversity and inclusivity, reflecting the values of its global consumer base. The company actively supports communities worldwide through various initiatives, from environmental sustainability to empowering local economies. For young entrepreneurs, the journey of Coca-Cola teaches invaluable lessons: Innovation is Key: Never shy away from exploring new ideas and solutions. Like Coca-Cola, innovation can lead to breakthroughs that redefine industries. Resilience Matters: Challenges are inevitable in business. What defines success is how we respond to setbacks. Coca-Cola’s ability to bounce back stronger shows the power of resilience. Customer-Centric Approach: Listen to your customers. They are your greatest asset. Coca-Cola’s responsiveness to consumer feedback underscores the importance of meeting customer needs. As we navigate our own entrepreneurial paths, let’s draw inspiration from Coca-Cola’s journey. By staying innovative, resilient, and customer-focused, we too can create enduring brands that make a positive impact on the world. Let’s toast to the spirit of entrepreneurship and the timeless lessons from Coca-Cola’s legacy! #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #Resilience #BusinessSuccess #CocaCola #Inspiration

Swiggy's new #Bolt service promises food in 10 minutes flat. But the quick question—are we trading hot, fresh meals for 'here’s your food? 🏃♂️🍔 I mean, think about it. How can something be fresh and hot in 10 minutes? Is it teleported straight from the kitchen to your doorstep? Or maybe they've discovered a secret ingredient that makes food cook instantly? Because unless they've got magic kitchens or teleportation on speed dial, I'm struggling to see how quality keeps up with speed. 🤔 Is anyone else wondering if we're just about to bite into some reheated 'quick fix'? Or should I stop doubting and trust that culinary wizards are a thing now? #10minutedelivery #fooddelivery #swiggy #bolt #fastfood #quickdelivery #delivery #foodtech #innovation #technology #business #entrepreneurship #startup

In my entrepreneurship class, we explored the remarkable evolution of McDonald's, which transformed from a modest drive-in restaurant to a global fast-food powerhouse. The movie highlighted how innovation, determination, and the implementation of well-structured systems can elevate a simple idea into a worldwide phenomenon. McDonald's journey serves as a strong reminder that success is not only about having a clear vision but also about flawlessly executing that vision and being flexible enough to adapt to changing circumstances along the way. It's an incredibly inspiring example of how persistence and smart strategies can lead to immense success on a global scale.

2moThis is fascinating! Kalanick’s vision for CloudKitchens could completely shift the way we access and enjoy food, especially with the potential for cost-efficiency comparable to grocery shopping. The mix of automation, logistics innovation, and partnerships like Starbucks could transform food delivery into a daily convenience rather than an occasional luxury. 🚀 Curious to see how quickly this becomes a norm—what do you think would make it a game-changer?
