🌟 Did you watch the Oscars? 🌟 Emma Stone's Oscar speech truly resonated with me, especially her candid moment about her broken dress and her heartfelt gratitude towards her team. "Oh my God, I’m totally — OK, the other night I was panicking as you can kind of see — it happens a lot — that maybe something like this could happen. And Yorgos [Lanthimos, Poor Things’ director] said to me, 'Please take yourself out of it,' and he was right, because it’s not about me." "It’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts. And that is the best part about making movies, is all of us together." I loved the part about taking yourself out of the equation. What a fantastic reminder about the power of your team. Emma's words beautifully capture the essence of what we strive for in our projects. It's about celebrating every member of the team, who pour their love, care, and brilliance into making our endeavors successful. We had our monthly retro today. I look forward to these as a way to see how far we've come and what we have accomplished in a month as a company. At ResNet, we believe in the strength of teamwork and collaboration. It's not about individual achievements, but coming together as a team to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Let's continue to work together, supporting and lifting each other up. Well done to all.

Today our 11 person executive management team held an offsite to get through usual company challenges. We argued. We laughed. We educated each other. We learned. We breaked. We came together. It was a long day :). At the end we had a dinner scheduled and everyone was still excited for it and we had a dinner reservation in Greek Town. We had about a 90 minute break from one another 🤷♂️and we’d meet at the restaurant. When I got, there four LaSallians were already half a drink in and smiles glued to their faces. We ate. We drank. We laughed. I tried to leave a few times because I’m always anxious that people are staying out for me. One person was sick and fought through the day and tried to fight through dinner and left. And two others with young babies, left after dinner. But not without a million texts. Eight people walked across the street and after a couple drinks I did an Irish exit (insert St Patrick’s day joke🤷♂️☘️). Why post? I’m sitting on my couch and smiling. A bunch of “thank you for dinners” later. But really because…work should be FUN. You should like who you do it with. You should enjoy what you do. You should have a common goal. You should be able to call each other out (which we did a lot of!) And after it’s all said and done, you should be able to have drinks and dinner and laugh and share stories. Because, without the relationships, the wins are shallow. The world is a different place, but the connection to people is so important and I’m afraid that’s what has gotten lost these past four years…. Everyone should have deep and heart felt relationships with their team. It’s the sweetness that goes on top of the wins. The best part is, it was fun, and what made it great was someone said …there are so many others at our company who will rise in the ranks and could fit easily. One of the best parts of a career is being on a team and building something together.

That is why I love what Clint Pulver shared with me and why it has become one of my favorite mantras: “It's not about being the best in the world…it's about being the best FOR the world.” This is how we leave a legacy—being our best for the world. This makes this idea of doing good tangible and within reach. Rather than asking, “What has the world done for me?”, the better question is, “What have I done for someone in need?” Or as the lyrics of one of my favorite songs says, “Have I done any good in the world today?” Last year we had the opportunity to have Clint speak to our team at Lemonade Stand. He shared life-changing principles, and his message was timely, inspiring, and relevant. Every one of our team members had a pair of drumsticks in their hands and their eyes were fixed on him. When he finished, I looked around at our team and at that moment I knew we had to do something more with Clint. What Clint talked about is what we try to be very intentional at doing—creating an environment and culture where people “love it here.” Clint says it best, “Purpose-driven, outward-minded organizations are the ones who win big and do the most good. They don’t just talk about doing good; they actually do good—and empower everyone in the company to do good as well. When we do that, everyone wins.” Grab your drumsticks, it’s time to rock! I am so excited to have Clint on our Build then Bless team as our CXO and Ambassador! Above all, I am grateful that Clint believes in us as much as we believe in him! 🌟 My Journey: The Power of Celebrating Wins 🌟 To all the perfectionists out there! :) In my career, I’ve realized just how important it is to celebrate our wins, no matter how small they may seem. For a long time, I was pretty hard on myself, always fixated on long-term goals and treating achievements like just another box to check off. I thought, “I’ve worked so hard; why do I need to celebrate?” But I've come to see that acknowledging our successes—whether it’s closing a deal or finishing a project—can really lift team spirits. It creates a sense of belonging and connection. Celebrating those milestones, instead of rushing to the next task, brings a spark of excitement that can inspire new ideas and energy. I’ve noticed that when we take a moment to appreciate what we’ve accomplished, it boosts everyone’s confidence and encourages us all to share our creative ideas without the fear of making mistakes. And let’s be real: mistakes are just part of the journey to innovation. The most successful teams I’ve seen embrace challenges and view setbacks as opportunities to grow. A happy, confident team is far more likely to take risks and push boundaries, leading to breakthroughs we might never have imagined. I'm very passionate about helping people, especially the ones who are open to being challenged and are motivated to grow. Yesterday I was working with the team at Robinson Michael and Jackson in Chatham hosted at Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa. We got straight into the detail around being your best and becoming more effective. The team are doing well and what's great is everyone is motivated to improve and grow further. 🚀🚀🚀 We also had a right laugh, as the team know each other very well and there's a high level of trust. The main part of the session was around 'The 3 Three Steps to Exceptional Execution.' We looked closely at: ➡️ Outcomes - how to build extremely clear outcomes, most teams don't get what they want because they don't really know what they want 👊 ➡️ Systems - what are the systems needed for measurement and accountability, can you build self-managed teams focusing on the leading measures 👊 ➡️ Team - how do we communicate the plan so everyone is on the same page working on their special skill more of the time 👊 Energy was very high and the time flew over. 🔥🔥🔥 What's the next session about? Well that's on 'Elite Teams' how to Build, Lead and then develop 'The Pursuit of Excellence.'😀 All good stuff.
