Speed Short Arc (SSA™) is a semi-controlled short circuit mode which allows to shift globular behaviour using wire feed speed normally reachable only in pulse mode. The current values used in this mode are very different from those used in conventional “short arc” operation. Faster wire speeds require a medium current together with a large peak current in order to form and detach the droplet more quickly.
