Time is running out… Every moment you look away, Chancellor, another #ProvidersUnite’s voice cries out. In July the King’s Speech set out an ambitious agenda with 40 bills spanning economic stability, health, and national security. However, the budget unveiled this October was far harsher than anticipated for business owners across Britain. Specifically, the 10 national trade associations, 29 regional trade associations and over 1,200 community care and support providers who signed the open letter to the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, under the banner of #ProvidersUnite. We are urgently calling for an immediate review of these measures and for the establishment of exemptions similar to those granted to the NHS. Alternatively, we ask that the Treasury adjust the Local Government Finance settlement to bridge this gap.
