Harsh realities about Sport Management & Science Degrees🎓 •Professional sport organisations prefer former pro athletes. •Media houses prefer graduates from media studies and former pro athletes •Governments treat sport as a hobbie •Schools would rather have a Math/Language educator teaching PE as opposed to a specialist (Sport Grad). •Schools believe athletic programs deprive educational programs of resources, hence lack of facilities. •Schools may expect you to have a teaching degree on top of your sport degree for their sport roles. •Their interdisciplinary applicability is often misunderstood. •Their multidisciplinary nature is not appreciated. •Physical Education is and has been dying for decades. •Attaining employment in professional sport may have a lot to do with who you know than what you know.
