At the beginning of the month I participated in the EVO NXT conference on behalf of the Landbell Group at Malaga, where we discussed the vital topic of sustainability in the e-cigarette space. Here's the key conclusions: - Prioritizing convenience for customers is crucial, but it's equally essential for them to embrace their responsibility in disposing of end-of-life devices responsibly. - The adoption of rechargeable or modular e-vapes presents a game-changing opportunity to significantly slash waste generation and bolster sustainability efforts. - The pivotal role of design must be considered in effectively closing the loop of e-vapes within the sustainability ecosystem. - Circular economy is a multifaceted approach that extends beyond recycling. - All stakeholders must be involved in a system to have a successful sustainable chain. #Sustainability #CircularEconomy

At some point, W2W Project left the cozy confines of the ISWA International Solid Waste Association booth to seek synergies with other EU-funded wood-based projects. And we were surprised by the similarities shared by @furncircle project with W2W, especially in relation to targeting the furniture sector as they aim to make it more circular and climate neutral, whereas in our project we will derive secondary materials from the furniture sector and turn them into value-added products, thereby contributing to the same objective. But also engaging the sector through other means, including analysing the potential of new green skills needed for labour force to adapt to the #circulareconomy transition and provide tools and recommendations to stakeholders to address challenges related to #circularity The project also offers an online self-assessment tool for businesses to evaluate their readiness to adopt Circular Economy practices. There is potential for collaboration here with W2W. Thanks to Francesca Chiodaroli for explaining the project at ECOMONDO - ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP and for being so kind to hold our brochure alongside their information wall.
