2023 was a year of incredible transformation at Women Creating Change (WCC). We launched an ambitious plan to empower 100,000 women to lead and raise their civic voices over the next decade, and solidified our key policy pillars to ensure that more women can become civically engaged on issues that matter to them — in order to make a difference in their communities. By having women in leadership positions and decision-making roles, organisations can benefit from a broader range of ideas, innovative solutions, and approaches to problem-solving. Gender diversity at decision-making tables not only reflects a more accurate representation of society but also leads to more balanced and inclusive outcomes.

Encourage women to follow their dreams and embrace failure in a competitive world involves fostering an environment of respect, opportunity, and resilience. Advocate for a culture of respect where women’s voices are heard, value and taken seriously. Challenge and address biases and stereotypes that may undermine women’s contributions. Empower women and men to pursue our dreams with confidence and resilience . We can support each other to succeed in a competitive world. Let’s do it!

In today's world diversity and inclusion are more than just values — they are critical for the success and sustainability of organizations and societies. One area where we must continue to make progress is the inclusion of women in decision-making roles, whether in corporate boardrooms or political leadership. Research consistently shows that companies with gender-diverse leadership teams perform better financially, innovate more effectively and are more resilient to challenges. Yet, despite these proven benefits, women remain underrepresented in leadership roles. The same holds true in politics, where women's perspectives are essential for crafting policies that are equitable and reflective of all citizens' needs. Encouraging and supporting women to take part in decision-making processes is not just a matter of fairness — it's a business and social imperative. By breaking down barriers, fostering mentorship and creating policies that support gender equity, we can unlock the full potential of diverse leadership. It’s time to make equal participation the norm, not the exception.
