[STATISTICS] What is the average percentage of comments on likes (x)? Basically, if a post generates 100 likes, how many comments does it generate on average? Following the request from advertisers, we tried to detect pod users and one of the solutions we came up with was to check if the likes/comments ratio is "normal". We are fortunate to have the ability to process a huge amount of data thanks to Linkalyze's analyses. Linkalyze has now more than 13.000 subscribers and over 240.000 posts have been analyzed! Here are the results: When the likes are <= to 20, we generally see 0.71 comments ratio (perhaps likes from friends and coworkers who don't comment?) Between 21 and 100 likes, there are nearly 10 comments on average. Beyond 100 likes, we see between 15 and 20% of comments (i.e. between 30 and 40 comments). This figure of 15 to 20% of comments seems to be the norm. So, if a post generates less than 5% of comments, is it safe to say that the likes come from a pod? Not at all! We have plenty of other ways to detect pod users, though: analyze the first 50 likes (thanks Ulysse Lubin for the idea!), analyze the likes on the last 20 posts, analyze the "commenters" on the last 20 posts... 4yIf I get 43% comments on likes, is it wrong?
