We all carry baggage from previous roles, organisations, cultures and managers. Every one of your team has been shaped by their previous experiences. How often do you try to uncover this - versus wait for it to arise in an uncontrolled setting? At our TTW team offsite, I was reminded that trust is *earned* by the employer, and it’s the individual that decides when they’re ready to accept it. No matter what we promise at TheTruthWorks we know we have to Make It Real for it to truly matter to our people. Our team candidly shared their past experiences with us that impact how they show up to TTW. What work experience shaped you? How did it change how you showed up (positively or negatively) in your next role? Would love to hear. #Engagement #PsychologicalSafety #Culture #TheTruthWorks (Photo - The Amsterdam Flower Man - a person whose past experiences definitely shaped what he does for a living today).

Dear Jason R. Murphy Today was a GREAT day at JRM HUMAN CAPITAL Thanks to Citizens Bank of Las Cruces 💙💚💙 Creating a great team isn’t just about having the best players. It’s about fostering a culture where every member can thrive. Culture is the living and breathing essence of what a team believes, values, and does. It’s everything. A strong culture shapes expectations and beliefs, driving behaviors that turn into habits, ultimately shaping the future. This culture should energize and uplift, nurture connected relationships and teamwork, empower continuous learning and growth, and create opportunities for everyone to perform at their best. Imagine a team where each member feels valued, connected, and empowered. This positive culture sets the stage for success, ensuring that every member contributes their best work. Be unapologetically and unabashedly yourself, and you might end up the hero of your story. Every member has a role, and together, they achieve greatness. Remember, your culture is the heartbeat of your team. By fostering it, you ensure success. Well done to all teams striving for greatness. #everydaygreatday

😭 😭 😭 The healing journey is real. I'm so happy to be a part of a team where we can openly talk about past toxic experiences and how we want to do things differently. Both in our own employee experiences and also as an employee experience consultancy. Leaders and people managers need to understand the power and influence they have on their employees' lives. And the severe damage they can cause when they misuse or are not aware of that power. It's a blessing to have leaders who get it and to work for a company that wants to pay it forward and make it a reality for as many people as possible. #psychologicalsafety #employeeexperience #empatheticleadership

Foster a Strong Work Culture or Die. 🙅♀️ One of the most sought after employment benefits these days is “a strong culture.” Some people will even sacrifice money for it! Building a strong work culture is something I’ve always valued and, unlike many other things as a founder, comes naturally to me. As we create content with our team at our media week - I get to hear why my team loves their work, how it’s meaningful, and what keeps them engaged. I’m truly humbled that our team not only loves their work, but enjoyed working together, and finds meaning in what they do. This in essence is the foundation of a good culture (though coffee and snacks are helpful!) Here’s what I think we’re doing right and why culture makes an impact : 1. Empathy: As a boss, I know firsthand the challenges our team faces—I’ve been in their shoes. I’ve photographed 8 hours without stopping, 50 people in one hour, showed up to a shoot without a critical piece of gear and kept going. Understanding the work on a personal level helps me connect with and support my team, which is essential to our culture and the way I direct the team. 2. Grace: Growth takes time and failing. With a team that’s grown from one to ten in three years, we’ve built a culture of grace around learning, adapting, and moving forward. Mistakes happen, but we focus on solving them together to foster learning, growth and success for our clients even if it looks like a loss on paper. 3. Collabortive Leanring: Collaborative learning has a slow but unstoppable ROI. Our processes were developed though collaborative and masterminding. They didn’t get to where they are by me handing teammates a piece of paper and asking them to recite. We set aside time each quarter just for learning and growing together, which keeps our team motivated and our client experience continually growing. What’s the result of these points? A team that truley cares about their work, and finds it meaningful. This brings value to the company, and to other peoples lives on a different level. Thoughts on culture and what it does to a business? #companyculture #denversmallbusiness #woman owned business

The Value of Loyalty in Corporate Life In today’s dynamic job market, loyalty to a company can sometimes feel underrated—but it’s a quality that can create lasting impact, both personally and professionally. When we choose to commit ourselves to a firm, we’re not just investing time; we’re building trust, deepening expertise, and contributing to a shared vision. Loyalty is about more than just staying with a company. It’s about showing up consistently, supporting colleagues, going the extra mile, and driving long-term success. This commitment strengthens the foundations of a company, fosters a positive culture, and, ultimately, creates a community where every team member feels valued. Of course, loyalty is a two-way street. Companies that recognize and reward dedication inspire their people to stay and grow. When loyalty and appreciation go hand in hand, it builds a culture where everyone is motivated to reach their full potential. #Loyalty #WorkEthic #CorporateCulture #CareerGrowth #Commitment #TeamSuccess

In any business, the biggest challenge and the greatest opportunity lie in the same place: people. We're a mix of personalities, motivations, and quirks. It keeps things interesting! Building a thriving company culture needs more than just Friday (Thursday?) drinks. It takes a deep understanding of your team's unique needs and aspirations. It's about fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, empowered, and connected. I've learned this firsthand, not just through running Venture X White City but also through my experiences with The Rugby Pod. It's taught me the importance of empathy, adaptability, and recognizing that everyone has their own unique story. At Venture X White City, we live and breathe this philosophy. Our team is the heart of our community. We're a hospitality business, so we're always "in the office", and we love it. We thrive on the energy and connection that comes from working closely together, sharing ideas, and building genuine relationships. It's those intangible moments —the impromptu chats, the shared laughter, and the collaborative spirit— that truly define our culture. A strong company culture isn't built overnight, it's cultivated through intentional design, genuine connection, and a shared sense of purpose. It's about creating an environment where people feel like they belong, where they can be themselves, and where they're inspired to do their best work. Bottom line: invest in your people —and watch them invest in your business.

🌟 Workplace Culture 🌟 Hello again! This week, instead of discussing my upcoming courses, I thought I'd delve into something equally important – the work culture at Danske Bank. Workplace culture is crucial in any setting, but especially so in our workplace. I've taken some time to reflect on what makes our environment unique and supportive. Here’s what stands out for me: 🥅 Clear Values and Goals: It's essential to have well-defined values and goals. These provide a sense of direction and comfort, affirming that you're in the right place. 🎙️ Open Communication: Promoting open communication ensures that everyone feels heard and valued. 🏅 Employee Recognition: We continually recognize and reward our team's hard work. This not only boosts morale but also fosters loyalty and a drive for excellence. 📖 Professional Development & Team Collaboration: These are areas I often discuss (check out my previous posts!). They are vital for personal growth and building strong team bonds. Having experienced various workplace cultures, I can truly say that a nurturing work environment is fundamental to professional happiness and fulfillment. ❤️ Also, I’d like to introduce you to my home office colleagues, Luna & Terra 🐶 who protects me, as I work, also helping to draw your attention to this post 😃 #WorkplaceCulture #BusinessTransformation #DanskeBank #DanskeBankFCRP
