Labor and Social Programs: Programs for transforming homeless individuals into the labor force. No homelessness within DomeCity. The remaining funds in the budget will likely cover additional amenities, technological innovations, smart city infrastructure, and potential unforeseen costs.

Tall glass towers dominate the skyline of major metros, increasingly becoming a fixture of downtown city landscapes. But they are also major energy hogs, presenting a problem for the climate. “By 2050, 80 per cent of the buildings that are around today will be still around. In order to achieve our climate targets, we definitely need to focus on existing buildings as well. When you compare the energy consumption of these types of existing buildings, we can see that glass towers typically have the worst thermal performance,” Vancouver-based RJC Engineers’ Mohammad Fakoor told Sustainable Biz Canada in an interview.
