With the #weather getting #colder, lots of #pests will be looking for somewhere warmer to #nest and #hibernate. Some pests you are more likely to see this #autumn are #Bedbugs are, unfortunately, an all year round problem, and with people returning from their holidays or jetting to find warmer weather, bedbugs can often be brought back with you. #Squirrels will be on the look our for a warm place to nest, and your attic is the perfect spot. #Rats and #mice will be seeking warm shelter, somewhere with a food source. So it's definitely a good time for restaurants, cafes, etc, to ensure pest control is set up. #Spiders are definitely more noticeable around autumn time as they seek warmth and light. #Wasps are usually around in the early part of autumn, with all nests being fully active by this point. Wasps will usually die off late October. We've finally got some bright and hot days ☀️ Did you know that hot weather is not a good news for your drains? Summer drainage issues: - Traps can dry out causing nasty odours and unwanted smells in kitchens. Food waste can dry and begin to smell in kitchen gullies. - Sinks can also begin to smell during hotter summer months as a result of the overflow pipes drying out. - Tree roots can be a big summer drain issue. Hotter drier summers will cause roots to sink further into pipes seeking water and nutrition sources and blocking the flow of the drains. #drains #summer #smells
