In #OssiningNY, 42% of children live in low-income households or below the federal poverty line. More than 15% of families earn less than $35,000 annually, while the cost of living in Ossining is 30% higher than the national average. School budgets primarily focus on essential expenses such as teacher salaries, facilities, and mandated programs. They often lack the flexibility to fund the enrichment opportunities and innovative initiatives desperately needed to support our underserved community. Ossining MATTERS Education Foundation bridges this gap by supporting critical programs and resources that enhance education and provide opportunities many families could not otherwise afford. State funding formulas often fail to address the unique and diverse needs of districts like Ossining. Community support through #donations plays a vital role in leveling the playing field and empowering ALL children to thrive and succeed. 🎁 This holiday season, celebrate your loved ones with a gift that uplifts an entire community and builds a brighter future for us all. Consider donating today. ❤️ Learn more about Ossining MATTERS 👉 www.ossininingmatters.org #OssiningMatters #EducationForAll #GiveBack #MakeADifference #donation #notforprofit

There is a simple reason why I support Villagr - they aren't trying to change the world with new technology or big ideas - it's simple. Simple is the best solution. There are Title 1 schools in need - Villagr bridges the gap to get teachers the supplies they need to bring joy into the lives of their students. Teachers already work 40+ hours a week and spend more than they should out of their own pockets. Searching for school supplies shouldn't be another full-time job. Make a colorful mark in the life of a child. It's simple - click a button and smiles will be unleashed across classrooms in need!! =)
Back-to-school season is off to a fantastic start for many – but the Villagr team has been made aware of a pressing issue. Numerous Bay Area Title 1 schools have reached out, letting us know that their classrooms desperately need art supplies. Art is the gateway to childhood creativity, giving our incredible educators the tools to inspire young minds and help turn their imaginations into reality. Together, we can make a difference! Your donation today will help us reach our goal of delivering essential supplies to the classrooms that need them most. Visit www.Villagr.io to sponsor a classroom today! #giving #nonprofit #bayarea #title1 #education #artsupplies #schoolsupplies #backtoschool

For the month of July, our Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Albuquerque are hosting our 11th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to help children in need begin the school year with all of the tools they need for academic success. With so many uncertainties about how children will return to school and what the classroom will look like, they need your help more than ever. Families with children in K-12 spent a projected $519 per child on back-to-school needs last year. For families in low-income neighborhoods, the costs are simply not realistic. Donating new school supplies to children in disadvantaged communities will make an impact on their ability to begin the school year school-ready. Items we are collecting: -Pencils -Pens -Composition Books -Combination Locks -Scientific Calculators -5-Subject Notebooks -Tissues -Hand Sanitizer -Wet Wipes -Trapper Keepers -Colored Pencils -Markers -Protractors -Paint Sets -Glue Bottles -Notebook Paper -Highlighters -Scissors -Sharpeners -Pocket Folders To donate, simply comment below and we'll have a volunteer coordinate a donation pick up!! #TeamWhoIAm_Albuquerque

Education is the key to unlocking a brighter future for every child. However, there are children in our local community who face challenges in accessing basic school supplies, hindering their learning and growth. Let's come together and make a difference in their lives by supporting our upcoming donation drive for school supplies in Naic, Cavite. What do we need? We are seeking donations of new or gently used school supplies to provide to children in need. Here is a list of items that would greatly benefit these young learners: 1. Notebooks 2. Pens, pencils, and erasers 3. Crayons, markers, and colored pencils 4. Rulers and scissors 5. Glue sticks and tape 6. Backpacks and school bags How can you contribute? You can support this noble cause by donating any of the items mentioned above. If you have extra school supplies that are in good condition or are willing to purchase new supplies, your contribution will make a significant impact. If you are unable to donate physical items, monetary donations are also welcome. We will utilize monetary contributions to purchase additional supplies or cover any related expenses. Together, we can make a difference! Please help us spread the word about this donation drive by sharing this post with your friends, family, and colleagues. Together, let's create a ripple effect of generosity and kindness in our community. 💡 This Giving Tuesday, let’s close the achievement gap in education! 💡 As a parent of twins in the NYC public school system, I’ve experienced how challenging it can be to navigate the system and ensure every child has access to the resources they need. I’ve also seen how inequities in education can hold kids back simply because of where they live or the resources available to their teachers. That’s why I’m proud to serve as a facilitator with Inspiring Educators, where we work to empower school teachers and administrators with tools, training, and strategies to transform their classrooms and communities. This work helps bridge the achievement gap and gives every child a chance to thrive. This Giving Tuesday, I invite you to support this mission. Your donation can help expand programs that uplift educators and create lasting change for students everywhere. Every dollar we raise goes directly to the IE Equity Fund, providing grants and scholarships to make our training accessible to high-need, underfunded schools, districts, and organizations. Three ways you can support IE during this season of giving: 1️⃣ Donate if you are able. We have secured a match on all donations so every dollar will be DOUBLED! https://lnkd.in/eUXbdGE9 2️⃣ Spread the word. Share our posts on here to remind your network of the essential work that educators do every day and the urgent need to support them. 3️⃣ Connect us to new friends and supporters. Do you know someone who would be excited about our mission and interested in supporting it? Put us in touch or send them this link: https://lnkd.in/ejbfgQ3K Oh... wait, there's a 4th thing. 4️⃣ Thank an educator. Always, always, thank an educator 👏 💛 #GivingTuesday #EducationForAll #CloseTheGap #InspiringChange

Jamie's Story - Part 4 Jamie is elated to have been given a brand new book from the Reading Bridge program. Its flashy cover, engaging images and grade-appropriate text is just the right fit for her personality. That evening, Jamie’s mother gets home early from work and they read her new book together. Jamie’s story is an all too common one among thousands of Bay Area students. Without the right literacy tools, students fall further and further behind in all subjects. Children without books in the home are more likely to experience learning loss during the Summer. Jamie’s challenges are not over, but small gifts can make a big difference in the trajectory of a child’s life. Give that gift today by supporting Reading Bridge. There's still time to donate! - https://buff.ly/4fWNT0S . . . . . . . @BooksInc @booksincstores @BooksIncCentral. #booksinc #booksincstores #booksinccentral #readingbridge #booknonprofit #reading #books #literacy #childrensbooks #yabooks #picturebooks #nonprofit #bayarea #comics #comicbooks #school #education #earlychildhood #stories #learning #students #bookfair #literacy #nonprofit #charity #givingtuesday #philanthropy #BuildABookWormHoard

It's #GivingTuesday! For families who cannot afford high school tuition, paying for field trips in Belize or abroad is out of the question. But retreats, field trips and summer trips to other countries help students decide who they want to be and what they want to do with their lives. This Giving Tuesday, we are raising money for our Leadership+ students to immerse themselves in learning opportunities outside the classroom. Money is the only roadblock these bright and curious students have in their educational journey; we want to clear the path for them and we need your help to do that. Please consider a monthly gift of $25 that will give access to ongoing extra-curricular opportunities like our STEAM programs, collaborations with colleges like Michigan State University, Youth Theology Network experiences in Boston and local trips that help students imagine what's possible for them professionally and how they might reach their God-given potential. You probably won't miss $25/month; these students won't ever forget it. https://lnkd.in/d64P2saC
