We couldn't be more excited to share the introduction of the Pods are Plastic Bill, new legislation introduced to NY City Council that would ban the sale of plastic (PVA) detergent pods and sheets in New York City. For the past five years, we've been raising awareness about the potential harmful effects of two of the most common household items containing PVA: laundry and dishwasher detergent pods and sheets. Both of which are plastic and polluting our waters. Blueland wasn’t founded to simply make products, for us it was about making a difference. Pushing the industry for change is part of Blueland’s DNA, and we couldn’t be more excited to support the Pods are Plastic Bill to keep our waters clean and just as importantly, send a larger message to businesses that plastic products should not be designed to go down our drains and pollute our environment. You can show your support for the bill by going to podspollute.com to contact your representative. It's our hope this is just the start of driving greater change, because after all—if we can ban it here, we can ban it anywhere.
Can you please also share your independent third-party studies of support?
