"How a Simple Potluck Sparked a Global Community-Building Movement"
• 3 years ago: We rented tables and chairs for a neighborhood potluck
• Goal: Connect neighbors, build community, have fun
• Now: Spreading to cities worldwide
Why This Matters? Now more than ever we need to find ways to build back our communities, one neighborhood at a time.
This Tuesday, Alicia Parker and her team brought this idea to NYC's town center, Rock Center. They invited those that worked in the neighborhood to come, eat + and have fun right in front of 30 Rock. Employees from Lazard, Christie's, Tishman Speyer, NBCUniversal and more joined together to break bread. AND it was magical.
