Army training adapts to modern warfare conditions, and develops new challenges for modern soldiers.
We have been transforming Basic Training to ensure that US Army Trainees are able to meet the needs of large-scale Combat Operations #LSCO. With the newest transformation in the culminating exercise of Basic, Forge 2.5, Trainees are exposed to an Opposing Force (OPFOR), Improvised Explosive Device (IED) simulators, Soviet-style light machine guns, and rocket launchers. These additions add training realism and tactical purpose to every event Trainees will face during the 72-hour Field Training Exercise #FTX.
