Please Don’t Apply For Unpaid Jobs. They are insulting. Don’t fall for the usual lines of ‘it’s something to put on your resume’ or ‘great experience’ or ‘there’s a chance for paid work if this does well.’ This is all code for the client wants something for nothing, and they want that something to be good. These clients never cast untalented voiceover artists for these projects. Becoming a good voiceover artist takes good training, and good training is not cheap. We are professionals and should be compensated as such. To the companies that cry they don’t have the money to pay (which is often a lie) voice it yourself.

"I GOT A MESSAGE FROM A RECRUITER ABOUT A JOB!!!" It's safe to say my wife was a little excited yesterday. Not as happy as I was 😀 She is a freelance photographer and image editor/re-toucher. We had a conversation months ago about LinkedIn and I encouraged her to put on the Green Banner because you never know what is out there. Although she didn't agree, she updated her profile and put on the Green Banner just to shut me up. And would you look at that, I actually know what I am talking about 😀 Here are some takeaways: ✅ No matter how niche your role is a digital presence can be helpful. ✅ Include your location; although the role is remote her being in Calgary offers an advantage as there could be onsite elements. ✅ Always listen to me. Alright that last point is a little suspicious, but you get the point. I don't just say things for fun. I have lots of experience and my advice helps people uncover opportunities and advance their careers. Alright I'm out of here. I am going to enjoy being right for as long as I can because according to my wife it doesn't happen often. #jobseekers #jobsearch #jobsearchtips #recruitertips #recruiter

Unfair Pay: Companies Hiring Copywriters for Less in Global Market I was looking for part-time remote job opportunities on LinkedIn. As I searched, I found a job at Mediboost. They wanted an English Copywriter in Cairo. It seemed good at first, but when I looked closer, I saw they were offering only $300 USD for a full-time job. That's much less than the fair pay in Sydney, which is between $3500 and $5000 USD. It's not just Mediboost; many companies in Australia, Canada, the USA, and the UK do this. They hire people from countries like Egypt, South Africa, and Asia where living costs are lower, to save money. This isn't fair to professionals in higher-wage countries. We need to talk about this and push for fair pay everywhere. By the way, I make $300 USD in a day at my day job at Nike.

HOW TO CORRECTLY SEARCH FOR REMOTE JOB It's Generally known that job hunting can be tedious sometimes but there are some few tips that can help get the job done faster; 1. Google Search: Use specific prompts like ''Hiring content writer, graphics designer'' or any other work you are interested in. Scroll through job boards and look for companies. Be creative with your job search propmt to get specific jobs tailored to your needs. The advantage of this kind of search is that it reduces the competition of applying for jobs with several other applicants on job boards and the process is faster due to its direct nature 2. Upwork: look for jobs that the potential clients posts a link to their websites, copy the link and apply through the website. With this you are sure that the are currently Hiring. Make sure to go through the website and find out what they are in need of, optimise your profile thoroughly. If possible make a short video pitching your skills and how you can help the company and put the link on your profile or attach to your proposals, get your portfolio's ready for the job.

They say hiring managers will spend just 6 seconds reading my #resume that contains 20 years of experience. That is, IF it makes it past the #ATS algorithm, and IF the 40% of jobs making it out to the market actually exist. So, let's try something else. I've updated my resume. It only takes 6 swipes to read. The best part? - Written for humans - Not pumped full of performance-enhancing metrics - Has lots of poor grammar! - Not even written by me Because happy clients ARE my best resume ❤️ #provenexperience #resume #hiring #opentowork #copywriting #HR #webdesigner #graphicdesigner #photographer #filmmaker #videographer #contentcreator #creativedirector #artdirector #producer #creativeagency #aviation #hollywood #sports #projectmanagement #adlife #productionlife

I love how I never have an easy answer to what do I do for work: But if we look to my agenda it would look something like this: 📲 Social Media Content Creator ( I would say this is taking most of my brain time, to make sure things are relatable in different platforms and different languages, for different cultures and so on) 🧭 Company's branding manager ( Not re-branding,but branding 🔎 Recruiter ( At this point the database I collected is well done, so I pretty much need just to know where the person is needed and what experience/language is expected ) 🤓 Supervisor ( Checking the checking - as I say. It is very important to give and get feedback for our teams, cleaners, clients and current supervisors) 📸 Official Company's photographer and videographer ( and no I don't mean simple phone, I mean I take my 15 years of experience, my equipment and make sure we have professional media ) But when everything is organised and planned it is going good. At the moment I work with it for 4-5 months and slowly I see the foundation is getting firmer, that means on to the next things : 💻 Website Design ( yes I do that with/without coding ) 🎤 Testimonials/Interviews from our partners. This is a little peak from one of the days when I work and travel. 🤩

❤️Following My Passion for Helping Others❤️ Sales and marketing have always been close to my heart. I love the energy, the creativity, and most importantly, the connections I get to build. But recently, I’ve discovered another passion—recruitment. It feels like the perfect blend of my skills and values: connecting with people, understanding their goals, and helping them achieve something meaningful. I’m currently working as a freelance recruiter alongside my main role, and it’s been such an eye-opening experience. It’s not just interesting—it’s fulfilling. I love the idea that I can help someone find their next career path while also helping companies discover amazing talents. It’s challenging at times, especially with the confidentiality required, but it’s a challenge I’m happy to embrace. One of the reasons I’m drawn to recruitment is my deep desire to support diverse talent. I especially want to help foreign candidates in Korea navigate the job market and land their dream roles. I know how tough it can be, and I want to be a part of making that journey smoother for others. At the same time, I’m always looking for ways to grow and improve myself. I’m excited to dive into Adobe Photoshop soon, as I believe creativity plays such a big role in both marketing and recruitment. My ultimate goal is to become a global sales manager and a recruiter who can bring people together and make a real impact. #CareerGrowth #RecruitmentPassion #DiversityAndInclusion #SalesAndMarketing #HelpingOthersSucceed

To All Companies Posting Jobs on LinkedIn, It’s really upsetting to see so many companies posting jobs on LinkedIn without actually planning to hire. Recently, someone I know went through a long interview process with a company. They even completed assignments for free, only to find out later the job wasn’t real. Please, don’t waste people’s time and effort. Many professionals, digital marketers, designers, illustrators, remote workers are genuinely looking for opportunities. They invest their energy and hopes into these applications and tasks. If you’re not hiring, be honest about it. Let’s support each other, not tear each other down. The world’s already tough enough. #jobs #honesty #designer #support

I can’t believe it — we've cracked the code. In the last week, our team has QUADRUPLED the number of #contract #freelance Communications job listings on Remote PR Jobs. Over the last 5 years, these roles were always the toughest to source for. Back story: When I started this in 2018, the site was called contractprjobs dot com (for those of you who remember). But the truth was, those roles were tough to find, so we re-branded to remoteprjobs dot com and included part-time and full-time, to open up supply. But now we're back in full force with those contract and freelance roles! If you're a #PR #Comms freelancer or somebody simply looking for side work, sign up using the link below and head straight into the Jobs Engine. You'll get the daily email of course, but if you go straight to the Jobs Engine you can then curate your search further (industry, experience, etc.). If you get in there now, you get your first several hundred jobs for free. What's to lose? ⬇️ ✨
