🔍 **Set-Piece Masterclass: A Tale of Two Identical Goals** ⚽️ set-pieces remain a critical element in breaking down defenses and seizing crucial goals. Recently, we witnessed two brilliant examples of this during matches involving Manchester City vs. Liverpool and Norwich City vs. Leicester City. Both goals were eerily similar. 📌 **The Strategy:** Both teams employed a clever maneuver that left their opponents scrambling. Here’s how it unfolded: 1. **Players Positioned Outside the 6-Yard Box:** All attacking players initially stood outside the 6-yard box, creating an illusion of space and disorganization. 2. **Decoy Movement:** As the ball was delivered, one player made a near-post run, engaging and pushing an opponent. This movement was crucial as it was designed to disrupt the defensive setup and create a gap. 3. **Exploiting the Gap:** With the near-post player drawing defender away, another player timed their run perfectly to exploit the newly created space within the 6-yard box, leading to a well-placed and decisive finish. #FootballTactics #SetPieceStrategy #ManchesterCity #NorwichCity #Liverpool #LeicesterCity #CoachingTips #SoccerAnalysis #GameChanger

Welcome to Wrexham, USA... 'Wrexham' is searched for more than the vast majority of Premier League teams in the US. For context, they are searched c. x3 more than Tottenham Hotspur The top 9 search results for 'Wrexham' in the US are dedicated to AFC Wrexham Wrexham is one of the very few UK locations that is googled more in the USA than the UK c.75,000 questions are googled about AFC Wrexham each month worldwide, EPL Champions Manchester City recieve c.78,000 As the US market becomes increasingly more significant to English football, this move seems shrewder by the day. More clubs are letting cameras in behind the scenes to build their brand, but are they able to find the ingrediants that will allow them to capture the imagination of other markets? And, is there room in the US market to sustain another Wrexham like story? #AFCWrexham #football #USA #sportsbusiness

Nottingham Forest’s Journey: A Modern Fairy Tale Unfolding? ⚽ Nottingham Forest’s rise in the Premier League feels like a fairy tale in the making, echoing the story of Leicester City’s remarkable title win. The transformation we've seen in the past two years has been nothing short of incredible, with Forest making a name for themselves in a competitive league. What’s most impressive is how quickly this team is clicking. The chemistry among the players has been remarkable, and it’s evident that they are starting to play as a cohesive unit. Although Liverpool’s unstoppable momentum at the top makes this season’s race thrilling, Forest has shown that persistence, vision, and smart signings can lead to remarkable progress. They’ve signed several talented players, and while the initial vision seemed questionable to some, the pieces are coming together this season. As of today, Forest has been solid defensively, recording 9 clean sheets thanks to Matz Sels, who has been a standout performer between the posts. His consistency has been a key part of their defensive strength. On the offensive side, Chris Wood has proven his worth, scoring an impressive 14 goals so far. His contributions are invaluable, pushing Forest up the table and solidifying their competitive position in the league. Playing well in one season is impressive, but we all know how Leicester City’s fairytale season ended after winning the Premier League. The true test for Forest will be maintaining this form and carrying it forward into next season. Could they win the Premier League if Liverpool slips up? The most important part is proving that this team can stay consistent and continue to challenge at the highest level for years to come. Forest’s approach is a reminder that with the right investments and vision, clubs can defy expectations. The future looks promising for this ambitious team, and it’ll be exciting to see how they continue to evolve. #BeyondThe90 #NottinghamForest #PremierLeague #Football #Goals #MatzSels #ChrisWood #FootballVision #JoinTheConversation

It's not only the fans expectations and the persistent squad challenges, but mostly what can we realistically expect from the transfer market? My 5 Key Considerations for United’s January Moves: 1️⃣ Prioritizing Midfield and Attacking Reinforcements: Stamina, Power, Stability and Creativity are urgently needed. 2️⃣ Addressing Defensive Gaps: Sensitive area to make significant changes now, but a small balance must be done. 3️⃣ Striking the Right Balance: Focus on long-term solutions over short-term fixes. 4️⃣ Leveraging the Market Smartly: Avoid overpaying; look for under appreciated talent. 5️⃣ Aligning Transfers with Vision: The big challenge is not to take steps for quick-fixing. 💡 The Question: Will United be able to take this opportunity and to build sustainably, or will quick fixes continue the norm of recent past non-senses? Manchester vs Brentford - Manchester City, Managed to create fluid progression through oppose movements in central zones between B.Silva & Kovacic with numerical advantages around ball zone. - Important aspect to keep in mind, is the pinning situation as Matheus Nune's presence near far sided fullback with marker alongside him, created a space and time for Akanji to project freely in out-wide channels as mutual support and become receiver for De Bruyne. - In a final third build up structure of 3-1-6, City managed to constantly beat Brentford into a deep block with a switch of 1-5-4-1, 1-6-3-1.Nonetheless, the individual cognitive trait from De Bruyne to recognize the space and off ball movement to approach in-behind his pair into intervals and the collective support from Foden and Halaand to keep nearest possible interceptors pinned, allowed a threatening goal chance. - Brentford would keep a structure of 3-2, 3-4 or 4-2 in initial build up at times having their fullbacks in high positioning as depth options in wide channels or deep lying fullbacks as a way to invite the press. In a certain situation, City managed to deal with the second line options to play for Brentford by having the numerical advantage (5v4) with a 4-1 high block structure in central. This forced Flekken to play direct but the rapid interactions from nearest options to intercept the farthest receiver, allowed City to recovery ball possession. - In City's initial build up, Brentford managed to keep their usual high aggressive approach in a man marking towards double pivots through a high block and presence of wide players near GK. This wasn't City's best game as their lack of aggressiveness for the majority of the game and Brentford's strength in transitions was a constant threat to City. #Manchestercity #footballtactics #brentford #soccercoach #matchanalysis #videoanalysis #futbolanalisis

Manchester City vs West Ham - In initial build up, city finding their way through a situational man to man marking from opposition in central zones by having dynamics around from B.Silva and burst-out-action from Haaland. As the central forward does a brief dismarking over his pair and provoke jumps around him, liberating space for a fullback with fantastic qualities as ball carrier in transitions as Gvardiol. - As for other instances, city managed to create situational numerical advantages in wide zone with fantastic interpretation and awareness from Rico Lewis and Kovacic to approach as the free man near ball zone as "progressive options" in-possession with space and time. their role as double pivots were fantastic around the game finding themselves in free spaces to exploit. - Defensively, West ham tried to be a team of transition and collective sequences in short spaces and utilization of width as resort of progression with dynamics wingers. However, City managed to provoke instability and discomfort in west ham's positional play by having possible receivers in the ball zone, in total obstruction. - City, used their usual 3-2-5 in higher build up with narrow structure between centerbacks and double pivots and double teams with proper distances with their relational pairs ( wingers) in 1st attacking line. #manchestercity #westhamunited #soccercoach #soccer #futbolanalisis #footballtactics #futebol #matchanalysis #sportsanalysis

Premier League Manchester City vs Manchester United Sequences: - In initial build up, Manchester United would have the tendency to create congestion to free space in Isolated zone with free man. This was achievable through keeping the awareness of opposition's 1st line of pressure into the ball zone overload. - One way Man united did superbly well was their organization in a defensive unit. Also, manchester city's 3-1-6 structure was overshadowed and lack threat through constant awareness from pivots to intervene (either Mainoo or Ugarte) or forcing opposition's into negative passes to start another build up sequence. - Manchester was superb in different pressure fashions as a situational man marking to avoid progression near City's initial build up. - In higher build up, Man United kept a 3-2-5 structure. However, one of the wing-backs (Mazraoui) inverts into midfield in a double 10 role along B.Fernandez. - Blindspot movement from Diallo + anticipating his pair to approach in a diagonal run in-behind Gvardiol ( uneven pair), this was possible as Mainoo pinned Gvardiol generating a gap that was recognized by the Ivorian. also, Lisandro had space and time to recognize the run ( as city applied a zonal marking) to place a sublime killer pass. As Diallo, finalized the play with a stellar finish. #manchesterunited #manchestercity #soccercoach #socceranalysis #footballtactics #futebol #footballscout #calciotattico #fussballtaktik #soccertactics #futbolentrenador #matchanalysis #sportsanalysis
