It's FAQ Friday when we post a Frequently Asked Question about ILC from our website. The answers to these questions were developed with the input of LBCA scientific advisory board members. This week's question is "Does having dense breasts cause ILC?" Read the answer on our FAQ page, Section II, Question #5: https://lnkd.in/eSzUPuMH #LobularBreastCancer #ILCFAQs

#ICYMI: Our scientists recently sat down to discuss the NLRP3 inflammasome and how the functions of NLRP3 and NEK7 are closely linked. Learn more about the NLRP3/NEK7 connection and Monte Rosa’s innovative work with a NEK7-directed molecular glue degrader targeting this important pathway. Full video here: https://bit.ly/3yCAvPn #MGDs #NLRP3 #NEK7
Interest in the NLRP3 inflammasome is surging, as the pathway is implicated in a number of inflammatory disorders. Magnus Walter, Senior Vice President of Drug Discovery, and Alison Paterson, Vice President of Biology, recently sat down to discuss the critical role NEK7 plays in activating the NLRP3 inflammasome. Monte Rosa’s groundbreaking work with a NEK7-directed molecular glue degrader offers a promising new approach to target this pathway. Even 1.6x PRP Beats steroid at one year follow-up for subacromial bursitis PRP vs. Corticosteroids in Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy 🔬 A recent double-blind, randomized controlled trial has shown that subacromial injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) provide greater, sustained pain relief and functional improvements compared to corticosteroids in patients with rotator cuff tendinopathy. 📊 Main finding: “At the 12-month follow-up, patients in the PRP group showed significantly greater improvement in pain and functional outcomes than those receiving corticosteroids, with a failure rate of only 12% compared to 30% in the corticosteroid group.” This study underscores PRP’s potential as a long-term treatment option, offering not just symptomatic relief but a regenerative approach to tendinopathy. With reduced failure rates and improvements in pain, function, and sleep quality, PRP is increasingly showing promise for sustained musculoskeletal health. This evidence is another step forward in utilizing biologics for MSK patients , offering patients alternatives that align with their recovery and quality of life goals. #RegenerativeMedicine #PRP #MSKDOC #MusculoskeletalHealth #Biologics #Tendinopathy #PainManagement

🧠 LabLogic’s Posi-RAM has been used in a collaborative study by Neumann et al. at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the University of Virginia. The PET metabolite radio-HPLC detector was used to quantify [F-18]DPA-714 binding in the brain of college athletes following a concussion, compared to healthy subjects. Because it uses coincidence counting to accurately measure small amounts of injected radioactivity, it is an ideal instrument for human clinical trials. 👉 You can learn more about how the Posi-RAM was used in the study by clicking here: https://lnkd.in/dVc8crFa
