🚛 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐈 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧: "𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬" On October 30th, we held our very first AI Hackathon to tackle a real-world logistics challenge: addressing the issue of overcrowded truck parking areas. Organized by LOGISTICS IN WALLONIA, TRAIL - Trusted AI Labs, UCLouvain - Université catholique de Louvain, OpenHub, and Service public de Wallonie-SPW MI, this event was marked by the engagement and enthusiasm of the participants, resulting in a day full of ideas and potential solutions! 🔹 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲: We kicked off with an introduction to the issue, outlining the challenges and impacts of overcrowded truck parking areas. Participants then dove into the traffic data collected from highway segments adjacent to the studied parking areas, laying the groundwork for an in-depth analysis. 💡 In the morning, each team got hands-on with the data, exploring different ways to process it and familiarizing themselves with the available tools. After a lively lunch, 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 sparked ideas on data extraction methods to achieve accurate truck counts. Teams then worked on processing and analyzing the generated results. 📈 The day concluded with a results-sharing session and brainstorming on potential improvements to the existing data, along with 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 for future vehicle counting methods. A big thank you to all participants, partners, and organizers for this inspiring day of innovation and collaboration. Together, we’re moving toward concrete solutions to meet tomorrow’s logistics challenges! 🚀 Nicolas Bioul ; Arthur Pisvin ; Thomas Desseilles #AI #Logistics #Innovation #Technology #Sustainability #Traffic #OpenHub
