🤔 How have new and used superyacht sales changed recently? ✔ In 2023, 203 new yachts over 30 meters were sold, a 17% drop from the 245 sold in 2022. Despite this significant decrease, any number exceeding 200 is still noteworthy by historical measures. ✔ Over the past two decades, the 2023 sales rank seventh, following the peaks in 2021/22, 2006 to 2008, and 2018. ✔ The most notable decline in sales was seen in the 30 to 40-meter category, with 23 fewer yachts sold than the previous year. ✔ In percentage terms, the sharpest decline occurred in the over 80-meter segment, dropping from 10 yachts in 2022 to 6 in 2023. ✔ The 40 to 50-meter segment performed relatively well, with only a 10% decrease, while sales in the 50 to 60-meter range fell by just 3 yachts to 18, representing a 14% decline. ✔ In 2023, the used yacht market experienced a 27% drop in sales, falling from 403 in 2022 to 296. This decrease suggests a return to more typical levels after the record-breaking sales of 2021 and 2022. 💡 Some of the largest superyachts sold in 2023 include the 115.1-meter Lürssen Ahpo, the 95.2-meter Lürssen Whisper (formerly Kismet), and the 89-meter Amels Here Comes the Sun. #yachting #superyacht #yacht
