See what I did there? There is a lot of buzz about people putting up their holiday decorations up early, or TOO early. With everything going on in the world, is this where we should spend time, energy, and even money? My answer is a resounding YES! **decorating for the holidays provides a non-toxic distraction from the daily stressors (and by the way, we have A LOT of those) **it is a mood booster, reminding us of things in life that are good **creating a joyful environment can help us re-focus **it is FUN!!! If you like the holidays and you like having decorations around, this is a fun activity. And who said we have to stop scheduling fun in our calendars? #itsabeautclark

The holiday season is a time for connection, celebration, and rest—but it can also come with its share of stress and overwhelm. That’s why maintaining boundaries, both personally and professionally, is essential to protect your energy and well-being. Here are a few ways to set boundaries this season: - Personally: Honor your limits. It’s okay to decline invitations or say no to traditions that don’t align with your needs. Make time for rest and self-care amidst the festivities. - Professionally: Be clear about your availability. Communicate when you’ll be unplugging and stick to it. Respect your need to recharge so you can return refreshed. - Emotionally: Recognize what you can and cannot take on—whether it’s difficult conversations or extra responsibilities. Boundaries aren’t about shutting others out; they’re about ensuring you have the space to show up as your best self. #Altha #HolidayBoundaries #WorkLifeBalance #MindfulHolidays

❄️🎄🧑🎄Growing up, I always loved Christmas. The traditional celebrations with my Norwegian-American family were always drama-free and magical. Then I became a parent and QUICKLY realized how much of that magic was created by my mother. 🇳🇴 🇺🇸 As a kid, I believed every holiday plan came together organically. But with three kids of my own—and a husband, and a successful business—I am competing with the calendar. There’s never enough time to make everything as perfect as I want. Between Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas alone (we’re an interfaith family!), I get mom-guilt AND job-guilt just thinking about all the projects I’ll have to put aside to create those core memories I want my kids to have. Working moms especially understand how hard it is to juggle end-of-year work with class parties, holiday decorations, and family gatherings. It’s enough to turn anyone into the Grinch. This season I am trying a new approach. I don't have to do it all perfectly. Some things will have to fall to the wayside if I want to keep my sanity intact. My family would rather have me enjoy the holidays and watch a movie with them (our fav is still Frosty!) than have a stressed out, frazzled, short-tempered magic-making-mom. 📆But still, managing that holiday calendar…it’s a lot. 😅 Fellow working parents, how are you managing your work-life-holiday festivity balance this year? #WorkingParents #WorkLifeBalance
