❤️ Merry Christmas! Let’s Make It a Day to Remember Christmas is a day we hope will be filled with joy and laughter, and I hope it is for you, but for many, it can also bring unexpected tensions. I remember a friend sharing her story about a family Christmas where an innocent conversation turned into a heated argument. Emotions flared, and the day was ruined. it is these sort of traumatic events that affect Christmas's for the next few years. After a discussion she realised that Instead of engaging, she should have chosen to step outside, taken a big deep breath, and let the cool air calm her nervous system. Then she could have refocused, regrouped her thoughts, and rejoined the celebration by chatting with someone else. That small act of stepping away turned could have turned a sour memory into a manageable moment. ✨ The lesson here is simple: when tensions rise, give yourself permission to pause. Walk away, breathe, and reset. By doing so, you can avoid escalating the situation and create better memories for yourself and others. Remember, today is a day for making memories—let’s aim to make them positive ones. Wishing you a day filled with peace, love, and joy! #ChristmasDay #FamilyDynamics #PositiveMemories

Happy Christmas to you and yours! Now, let’s be honest, if you’re scrolling LinkedIn on Christmas Day, something might be a little off. Maybe the family chaos has driven you to a quiet corner. Maybe you’re dodging washing up duty. Or perhaps it’s quieter than you’d like and you’re feeling alone. Christmas can be magical, but it can also be messy, complicated and full of unspoken pressures. For some, it’s a houseful of people and not enough connection. For others, it’s the silence that feels the loudest. Whatever’s brought you here, know that it’s ok to sit with how you’re feeling, it’s just part of being human. Here’s to taking a breath, noticing the small moments and finding a bit of peace amidst the tinsel. (And if you’re looking for a way to process what’s on your mind, you can download my free guide to journaling from my website - it might just help clear the noise.) P.S. This post was automatically scheduled. I’m not on LinkedIn today - promise!

Christmas Day is a time to gather with family, share meals, and make memories. But let’s be real, it’s not always all smiles and cheer. You might find yourself face-to-face with that one family member who’s always on your case, asking why you haven’t done this or that yet, or why your life doesn’t look like their idea of perfect. Here’s the thing: Don’t let them get under your skin. Instead, turn the spotlight back on them. Ask them about what life was like when they were your age. People like that often can’t resist talking about themselves, and by redirecting the conversation, you take the heat off you while keeping things polite. Another tip? Keep your distance. Stick to neutral topics like a funny movie you watched recently—something lighthearted that avoids the potential for conflict. And, most importantly, protect your peace. If the energy starts draining you, there’s no shame in leaving early. Don’t stress about the little things either, like the roast potatoes not being perfect or the pie getting burnt. It’s about enjoying time with the people you care about, not about achieving perfection. So, let go of the pressure, savor the moments, and focus on what truly matters—creating good memories with loved ones. Merry Christmas!

🎄 A Christmas Message for All — Joy, Reflection & Compassion 🎄 As the holiday season approaches, I want to share something a little different this year. Christmas means many things to many people — for some, it’s a time of celebration, warmth, and connection. For others, it can be a season of reflection, challenge, or even loneliness. This duality reminds me of a simple but powerful truth: we never truly know the battles others are facing. So, perhaps the greatest gift we can give — to ourselves and to others — is a little extra compassion. Here are a few thoughts I hope might resonate: 🎁 Pause and breathe — The most valuable moments aren’t the busiest. 🎁 Be kind (to others and to yourself) — A kind word or gesture could change someone’s entire day. 🎁 Stay present — The most meaningful gifts aren’t wrapped in paper; they’re found in presence, not presents. If you’re feeling joyful this Christmas, share that joy with others. If you’re facing challenges, know that you’re not alone. Every day, people surprise us with their love, understanding, and support — often just when we need it most. I’d love to hear your thoughts: What’s one piece of wisdom or advice you’d offer to someone this Christmas? Your comment could be the message that lifts someone’s spirits this season. Wishing peace, warmth, and love to you and yours this Christmas. Warmest regards, Jon 🎄 #ChristmasReflection #MentalHealthMatters #KindnessMatters #CompassionAtChristmas

What if this Christmas your HEART doesn't feel quite as festive as the world around you⁉️ What are you supposed to do when the twinkling lights and cheerful carols only serve as a stark reminder of the EMPTINESS you feel within? 🚨In moments like these, it's important to remember that it's OKAY not to be OKAY! It's okay to acknowledge the PAIN, the loneliness, and the struggles that are weighing heavy on your heart during this time of year. It's okay to give yourself PERMISSION to feel whatever emotions come up, without judgment or guilt. 🚨So, what are you supposed to do when your life doesn't feel so MERRY this Christmas? You’re supposed to be GENTLE with yourself. You are supposed to reach out for support, to lean on loved ones, to seek solace in the warmth of human connection. You’re supposed to practice self-care, NURTURE your soul, and to find moments of peace and comfort amidst the chaos. 🚨Remember, the spirit of CHRISTMAS is not in the external trappings of the season, but in the love, compassion, and kindness we extend to ourselves and others. So, if this CHRISTMAS feels a little dimmer than usual, know that you are not alone my friend! 👉 Reach out, speak up, and allow yourself space to heal. In the midst of your darkness, even the smallest glimmer of HOPE will light the way to brighter days. #MySuccessInLife #ChristmasReflections #SelfCare #YouAreNotAlone #SpreadLoveAndKindness

Not everyone is smiling this Christmas. And that’s a tough reality to sit with. For some, Christmas is joy and laughter. For others, it’s heavy with loneliness, grief, or struggles they don’t talk about. And honestly, with all the holiday buzz, it’s easy to forget what really matters. Let’s make this Christmas different. Instead of chasing perfection or overdoing everything, let’s focus on what counts: people, moments, and love. Here’s how: 1️⃣ Keep it simple. You don’t need a mountain of gifts to make someone smile. A thoughtful note or a meaningful call can be just as powerful. 2️⃣ Look around you. Who’s hurting? Who’s feeling left out? Reaching out doesn’t need to be fancy—just being there can be enough. 3️⃣ Give what you can. Your time, your attention, your kindness—they’re priceless. A kind word or a warm meal can create a memory that lasts far longer than anything wrapped in a box. And for yourself? Breathe. You don’t have to make Christmas perfect. You don’t have to carry the weight of everyone else’s expectations. Instead, look for the small moments—the ones that make you feel alive and grateful. Let’s also take a moment to think about those who are struggling today. Whether it’s a quiet prayer, a message of hope, or a small act of kindness, let’s do our part to remind them they’re not alone. What is one small way you’re spreading love this Christmas? Let’s fill this season with connection, not just celebration. Christmas: The Choices of a Day Today is Christmas—a day of celebration, reflection, and connection. I started my morning with gratitude, acknowledging the gift of another year and the love that surrounds me. Then came the choice: How do I spend this day meaningfully? My routine was simple. I decided to: 1. Spend the morning helping to prepare a family meal. 2. Dedicate the afternoon to reconnecting with old friends through calls. 3. Reserve the evening for quiet reflection with a journal and a book. The choices seemed wholesome, but as the day unfolded, I noticed limitations in my decisions. Why did I choose simplicity over grand gestures? Was it fear of overstretching myself, or was it genuine contentment with quiet celebrations? Did I spend too much time planning the day, instead of being fully present in each moment? In prioritizing family and friends, did I leave room for solitude or moments to connect with strangers in need? By focusing on tradition, did I miss the opportunity to create something new—something more fulfilling? Christmas is a paradox of choice. We celebrate joy, yet sometimes the weight of our decisions leaves us feeling less than joyful. Today’s routine reminds me that meaningful moments often lie beyond what’s planned. Perhaps next Christmas, I’ll leave the schedule a bit more open—to spontaneity, to unexpected connections, and to the quiet whisper of the day itself. Found this insightful? What do you want this Christmas? And I'm not talking presents under the tree... I'm wondering what do you want to feel? 🤔🤨🙄.... What comes up when you read that? I imagine it's not overwhelm, stress, resentment, burnout... And yet if we're honest if we did everything we've got on it'll lead us right there. Ask yourself instead - - What matters to *me* this Christmas? - What DON'T I want to do? - Who DO I want to see? - What will make me feel like I've had a great Christmas? Lots of things you'll simply have to do. But there's a whole heap of stuff that's within your control. And a whole load of fun and joy that you might forget to add in if you do too much doing. I work with clients on just that: understanding their options and the choices they can make. I help empower them to make change happen. To keep in mind the most important thing: how does it feel to me? Fancy a bit of this? Send me a message or book in a chat on my profile page so we can see if we're a good fit for each other. Ps - know where this is? I've been enjoying the London Christmas trees this month :-)

What if this Christmas could feel different? Merry Christmas isn’t always merry for everyone. What’s your story about Christmas? Is it full of joy, or are there memories you’d rather forget? Neuroscience reveals that our brains cling to what feels familiar, even if it isn’t pleasant. The good news? You can redirect those mental pathways to the life experiences you would rather have. If you’ve convinced yourself that Christmas is just a time for stress, disappointment, or isolation, then that’s likely how it will feel again. Your feelings are like a magic wand - more powerful than your thoughts. When you feel good about something, amazing things start happening! Want to know how I changed my Christmas story? Do you want this Christmas to feel different? Even if it’s just a little lighter and brighter than last year. It can happen when you are emotionally involved in the good you wish for. I’ll share a method that worked for me at my LinkedIn Audio Event this Thursday at 5 PM AEST. This could be the first step toward reclaiming a Christmas that feels good again. I warmly invite you to be part of this uplifting discussion. Mark the date: - Thursday, 21 Nov - 5 PM AEST - LinkedIn Audio Tune in to join. Let’s explore how to rewire the beliefs you would instead embrace. I BELIEVE you’re ready to create some new Christmas memories. #gratitude #joy

Spreading the Christmas Spirit 🎄 I am wearing a Santa hat everywhere I go—not just for fun, but as a daily reminder of what Christmas stands for: kindness, generosity, and connection. When I wear it, I find I can’t rush past someone who needs help, ignore someone who holds the door open, or skip a chance to spread a smile. It’s a small thing, but it’s powerful how much a little red hat can change the way I walk through the world—and how others react. Some smile. Some think I’m a little crazy. Some dare to ask why. But that’s the magic: it sparks curiosity, conversation, and maybe even inspires a bit of holiday cheer. My hat reminds me that the spirit of Christmas isn’t just about decorations or gifts—it’s about how we show up for others. So here’s my question for you: What’s your way of bringing a bit of the Christmas spirit wherever you go? Whether it’s a hat, a smile, or an act of kindness, let’s make this season brighter for everyone we meet. #christmasSpirit #Rolemodel #beandgo #bethechange
