🌍 The Global AI Investment Landscape: A Look at 2024-2025 Fascinating to see how the global AI investment landscape is evolving. The numbers coming in for 2024 and projections for 2025 paint a compelling picture of accelerated commitment to artificial intelligence across major economies. - The UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has announced a £300M investment specifically targeting AI safety research and compute capacity through 2025. - In a significant move, the EU has allocated €7B for AI innovation and infrastructure as part of their updated Digital Europe Programme, aiming to boost European AI competitiveness. - China's continued momentum in AI development has led to projected investments reaching $50B in 2024 alone, keeping them on track for their ambitious 2030 goals. What's particularly interesting is where this money is flowing - beyond pure research into real-world applications. AI safety, healthcare solutions, and climate tech are emerging as key priority areas. These investments reflect a maturing understanding of AI's potential - moving from hype to strategic implementation. But the question remains: how will these massive commitments translate into practical innovations? What sector do you think will see the most transformative AI applications from this wave of investment? #ArtificialIntelligence #TechInvestment #Innovation #FutureOfTech #DigitalTransformation

Which global trends will affect the Russian economy and the IT industry in particular? How can we predict the main milestones of future industry development and prepare for change? Those were just some of the issues discussed by attendees of the IT-Os forum. One of the panel discussions was moderated by Fedor Chemashkin, CTO at Yakov and Partners Digital. - The spread of disruptive technologies keeps accelerating. While it took mobile communications technologies at least 12 years to reach 50 million users, generative AI attained that target in just a month. - With technology moving at breakneck speed, not all solutions have the time to catch on. However, they still have their use as they facilitate the emergence of even more useful innovations. - Making up for the deficit in the Russian labor market, which may reach 2 to 4 million people by 2030, requires to both increase the number of technical graduates and to introduce innovative technologies to boost production efficiency. - In 2023, global investments in generative AI totaled USD 27 billion, outstripping investment in meta-universes. Yakov and Partners estimates that in 2028 the financial impact from AI implementation in the IT industry will amount to RUB 0.3 to 0.8 trillion.

🌐 Harnessing the Future: Productivity Gains and AI’s Role in 2025 According to J.P. Morgan’s 2025 Outlook report, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) is set to deliver a #transformative boost to #global #productivity. 🇺🇸 U.S. private investment in #AI surged to nearly $70 billion in 2023, far outpacing countries like Germany, France, and Sweden, which invested less than $2 billion. This investment positions the U.S. as a leader in leveraging AI to enhance productivity by an estimated 17% over the next 20 years. While Europe faces a EUR 2.2 trillion output loss since 2019 due to lagging productivity, the U.S. capitalizes on aligning skills and tasks, ensuring GDP growth stabilizes without inflationary pressures. Beyond #innovation, #AI is expected to enhance #corporate #revenues, bolster equity markets, and address fiscal deficits arising from #aging #populations. Global players, particularly in Europe, continue to contribute to AI’s value chain, focusing on infrastructure, renewable energy, and precision technologies. Productivity gains are not just reshaping economies but redefining competitive advantages for the future.

Artificial intelligence is no longer a frontier technology—it’s a critical lever for economic growth, resilience, and competitiveness. I’m excited to share insights from BCG’s AI Maturity Matrix, which maps 73 economies across six archetypes of AI adoption and readiness. The findings spotlight the profound shifts AI will drive in global economic dynamics and the strategies needed to harness this transformation. Key Insights: - AI pioneers (US, UK, Singapore, China, Canada) are shaping the global narrative, leveraging cutting-edge infrastructure, R&D, and talent. Their leadership will influence not just economic growth but also the ethics and governance of AI. - Economies like India, Saudi Arabia, and UAE are fast becoming rising contenders, with focused investments and national strategies to capture AI-driven opportunities. - Yet, over 70% of economies score below the halfway mark on readiness, exposing them to risks of disruption without the infrastructure, policies, or skills to manage it effectively. This isn’t just about technology—it’s about how nations build their Global Advantage. The interplay of ambition, innovation, and collaboration will determine how countries secure their place in an AI-enabled future. For policymakers, leaders, and businesses alike, the call to action is clear: invest strategically in skills, ecosystems, and ethical frameworks to ensure AI becomes a driver of inclusive growth and long-term resilience. https://lnkd.in/gU96m6uT #AI #Innovation #Competitiveness #EconomicDevelopment
