𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗮 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲! 🎯 Yes, you read that right! I’ve seen so many people boast about their "numbers game" when it comes to job applications. As a new graduate, I entered a recession-hit economy with no career guidance, and all I heard was: "Keep applying, and the numbers will eventually work in your favor." But honestly, that wasn’t true for me. Instead, I chose to focus on quality over quantity, and it paid off. Here’s how I turned my job applications into offers: 🔹 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Instead of mass applying, I made sure each application was personalized to the role and company. This shows recruiters that you’re truly interested, not just sending a generic CV. 🔹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: I reached out to people in the industry and built relationships, rather than relying solely on online applications. Networking is often the key to finding hidden opportunities. In October, after losing my job, I applied to just 𝟱 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀. The results? I received 𝟰 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 and got 𝟮 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀, ALL in just two weeks. Remember: Quality, not quantity, is the real game changer when it comes to job applications. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁. Don't Waste Time Applying for Jobs! Let Your Skills Speak For Themselves! Over my years in the tech industry, I've realized that applying for jobs the traditional way often doesn’t give your skills, talents, or value the recognition they deserve. I’ve never relied on applications; I let my work and network do the talking. And it’s a strategy I highly recommend. The best opportunities rarely come from job portals they come from connections, visibility, and building trust in your network. Use LinkedIn not only as a platform to apply but as a place to showcase your achievements, stay active, and build real relationships with people in your field. Don’t wait for the right position to come to you; get your foot in the door by standing out and letting others see your expertise firsthand. Invest in Yourself First Every bit of growth you put into yourself, whether through learning new skills, taking on challenging projects, or expanding your professional network will, in turn, benefit the organization you’re with. Prioritize your development and align with companies that support that journey. By investing in yourself, you create lasting value for any team you join. Remember, if you're good at what you do and make that known, opportunities will come to you. #NetworkToSucceed #InvestInYourself #CareerGrowth #LinkedInTips #ShowcaseYourSkills #GrowthMindset #ProfessionalNetworking #TechCareers #OpenForWork #Jobs #JobOpportunity #Careers

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲? 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱: 1. Employers will opt for the safest hire they can find. They might choose candidates with more experience if available, minimizing their risk. However, if your skills are in demand or offer a fresh perspective, they’ll be more willing to consider you, even with limited experience. 2. Recruiters often rely on their network before posting jobs publicly. If they can fill a role from people they already know, they will. When there’s an oversupply of candidates, fewer opportunities are advertised. That means networking is crucial! 3. Landing your first job isn’t just about finding the right job portal or website. It’s about ensuring that when an opportunity arises, you’ve already made meaningful connections, and you stand out for the role. 𝗜𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁: Build your network and engage with recruiters and hiring managers who focus on roles aligned with your skills. Don’t just apply for everything—identify one or two key areas of expertise that are in demand and focus on excelling in those. Make a compelling case for why a company should hire you, not just because you’re a recent grad, but because you bring value, fresh ideas, and the ability to contribute to their success. Operating with this mindset makes a bigger impact than just applying for jobs randomly.
